The management of various departments seems really good, the property & most of the staff seem kind & professional. What it suffers from is a couple of people who's lack of Polish & disdain for customers is beyond the possible miscommunication stage. I've been a nationwide frequent customer of multiple brands & have Diamond status in Hilton Honors. Not only did service get worse after the good people left for the day but a couple got gossipy & rude after the FB Manager left. I know it isn't Management's fault because most of the staff on premise is inviting & respectful. However, we are going through a lot in our country, especially post COVID. When we had a rare complaint in the past, it was taken as a coachable moment & it was handled professionally behind closed doors. Today, after I levied a lucid complaint about my concerns, the parties involved did the opposite, turned on me & started eyeballing me & gossiping with each other. Then I noticed the are all speaking Spanish when I get close & in our country, no matter where you're from, multi-culturalism is a good thing but, not when it's used against those of us who spend our money for decades to help build these brands & celebrate our culture of elevated living only for a tiny few to talk about us behind our backs & make the environment very uncomfortable to enjoy. & No, I am not a white male levying this... I am a 50 year old Strategic Consultant whose simply a regular Black American. It actually sucks for my White American friends that when experiencing the same disdain for our culture, some call them racist. That is definitely not generally the case. We'd just like our spaces to be staffed with those who uphold our standards toward everyone, no matter where any of us are from & remember we come to do business with said brands, not busy into their individual living rooms & asked to be served a steaming pile of whatever problems those few bring to their jobs! I own my company but didn't get there acting like that & my job is always to best serve my customers. That starts by actually caring about my customers, especially friendly & reasonable ones like myself.
Again, most of the staff in all departments I've encountered are quite good & professional. It is that tiny minority of those who don't care as much that chase away customers & profits by...
Read moreI have to say the happy hour menu was quite good and great quality for the price. The issues... the bartender and staff were obviously bilingual, which I have no issue with. However, they talked around the patrons in Spanish.
The main bartender said she had to go change the keg for one of the beers and asked if anyone needed anything. I said yes, I need my check. She ignored me and disappeared for over 10 minutes. Then a guy comes and changes the keg. A couple minutes later, she comes back but from the front of the hotel.
One of the other patrons pointed out the fact she obviously didn't do it. She laughed and then started in Spanish to the guy changing the keg.
I then told her her I needed my check again. I needed to go to the airport. She then said ok and continued to watch the changing of the keg and now talking to three (3) other staff in Spanish.
I then said, "How many people does it take to change a keg." She, after 5 additional minutes,...
Read moreI sat at the Bar and the service was very good. I started with hummus because it was happy hour, which by the way happy hours is 4-6 so it's more like happy "hours". Anyhow, I had the house cab, and it was good. The hummus was creamy and slightly tangy as it should be as opposed to just blended chickpeas with salt and random seasoning. I then had the 16 oz bone in cowboy steak done médium rare and it was pretty tender. They did it just right. Personally, I like my steak a little thicker but I also recognize i can be overly picky, in anycase it was very good and I am sure you...
