I am torn about how to review our stay at Blue Beach Resort. The people there are very nice however when booking our room we booked a " Beach front cottage or bungalow with a full kitchen" as stated clearly on Booking.com. Upon evening arrival (CK. In was made easy after hours with lock box and text instructions) we discovered a room at the end of the building with no kitchen, only a microwave and small hotel fridge. We were surprised as booking info clearly itemized all full kitchen Cottage and even had photos of stove etc. All our food that we brought from our previous beach apartment could not be used as a result. The owner Doug offered to bring us a toaster oven which was nice (probably should have offered an adjustment on bill as info. was entirely misleading) but not the same after paying a premium above the regular room rate to have a "cottage with a kitchen". The building contractor Emery suggested that "there are hundreds of restaurants to go to ". Not helpful and not the point and a little dismissive. Neither a cottage or a kitchen! As for the "beachfront", yes the windows at the east end of the room face the ocean and the beach out there is beautiful!! However six inches from our ocean facing window was a table and chairs where smokers sat each morning! I had to close the windows to keep smoke out and close curtains for privacy as the smokers were RIGHT THERE. I would suggest a designated smoking area as they have a pavilion and ocean front chairs just east of the pool. As it was it did not allow us or the people in the other ocean facing room to enjoy outside access at all. The owners clearly are trying hard to make this a beautiful little property, they have made the exterior look lovely and are continuing to do so (alot of hammering and working was going on when we were trying to relax) however there are many hospitality details that are being overlooked while making it pretty to look at. Our room has some beautiful paintings and furniture but upon arrival we almost went down on a surprising little step just inside the door! We had only luke warm water in the shower the three days we were there (and the beautifully tiled shower is configured in such a way that you must step in and down and turn water on as you are under the shower head, no way to set temp without getting wet!) Little microwave area was awkward and very tight AND there was a timer box that was ticking very loudly on the wall until we got the breaker to those outside lights turned off (Emery was very helpful with this suggestion a day or two later) preventing us from sleeping the first night after a five hour drive. On the final day of our three night stay the construction crew was banging on the wall of our room before 9am and building a fire pit a few feet directly out in front of the windows of our view. So now whoever is in those two "beach front" rooms will get a great view of the people at the fire pit and smoking section! Clearly it would have made more sense to put the fire pit and smoking are at the beach end of the pool so the guests paying a premium for those end rooms could enjoy what they are paying for. I think the owners are very nice and have good intentions but miss the mark on making guests comfortable and are concentrating on pretty photographable things rather than guests comfort. We work in the Architecture/Design field and probably expect more attention to details and notice more than most might... I wish them well and I think they will have a beautiful PARTY hotel when they are finished! It's not for us unfortunately.☹️ Blue Beach Resort Melborne was NOT the comfortable vacation experience that I expected to have when booking. It was almost 800$ for three nights in our Not a cottage and Not a kitchen room.

HORRIBLE!! Female staff helpful and friendly, rooms clean... Strict rules 100% for your safety, understood and i followed!! Safety issues i was presented with see below pics. Would not recommend to any friend or even a stranger. Code laws not followed per electrical codes posted for anybody to check. Was never informed that major roof construction would be happening during my stay. Doors not sealed, allowing creatures to enter. Unsafe to access beach from property. Cameras everywhere, for your safety... yet certain ones record audio! Owner not present but able to watch & listen everything while it is occuring. 1/2 owner present on property treated me like i was a 'dumb' female.. Not exceptable. A nother issue, you are only given 1 key at check in per rules, ok. But when i inadvertently unlocked a door that was not mine, (while trying to watch where i was walking) SURPRISE - not my room. Stepped back closed door and proceeded to mine. 1 key unlocks all guestrooms. Had another guest check theirs, samething.. Got a refund but not what i feel was appropriate for what i had to go through.. WARNING STICK TO YOUR GUT, IF ADD SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE DONT DO IT, at least not with this place. ** pics under photo section.

I recently stayed at Bleu Beach Resort for six nights, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The resort was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. The staff members were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist, making me feel welcomed and cared for. One of the highlights of my stay was the outstanding pool area, which provided a refreshing and enjoyable environment. The addition of the tiki bar was a great touch, allowing me to relax and indulge in delicious drinks while enjoying the poolside atmosphere. Furthermore, having access to a private beach was an added bonus, as it provided a tranquil and picturesque setting to unwind and soak up the sun. Overall, Bleu Beach Resort surpassed my expectations in terms of cleanliness, decor, and exceptional service from the staff. The pool, tiki bar, and private beach all contributed to a memorable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a relaxing and pleasant getaway. We will definitely be back. Thanks Bleu!

I wanted to love this place, I really truly did. The website and reviews made it sound ideal: a lovely,, clean, recently redone motel in a great location with friendly service. We looked carefully at the pictures—if you get the oceanfront cottage, the door opens right to the sand and waves. Excellent. One of the reviews in this website even was titled something like “Great Quiet Little Place.” Perfect, just what we wanted. We did call ahead to see if they had any ideas for New Year’s Eve—they didn’t. Maybe a restaurant in town? They couldn’t say—there’s not much going on in that part of the beach, apparently. ||||So, why the one-star review? In short: the noise. We are not picky travelers and are OK with bumps in the road; a little bit of the unexpected makes travel interesting, right? But this was a full-on nightmare—our kids cried, sleep was fleeting, and we left after one night, nerves frayed. ||||We reserved three rooms, including the two oceanfront cottages. What the pictures do not show you is that the “beach bar” is immediately in front of the oceanfront cottages (which are actually just rooms, they are not separate structures). There are tables directly between the rooms and the beach, and a bar slightly to the left. This is not really a beach bar—it is a very popular, very busy restaurant. When we checked in, there was a menu and reservation sheet for a New Year’s Eve party—so I guess they changed their mind on that. ||||Anyway, we unpacked and headed to the pool, which is adjacent to the parking lot. We started to watch how the restaurant was filling up—surely we would not be sleeping with 50 people eating and drinking just a few feet away, right? And then also, all of the rooms—not just the oceanfront ones—are on a sidewalk that is also a runway for customers and employees of the restaurant. The kitchen is across the road, so there are food and beverage carts clattering back and forth continuously. If you come or go from your room, you will bump into someone coming or going from the restaurant, every time. We tried to just enjoy the pool and accept it. But then it got worse. They had a band. ||||While there is a small line of potted plants that marks the entry for the oceanfront cottage, the band moved these plants as they unpacked their speakers, putting extra bags literally up against the wall to our room. It was a 5 piece band with multiple singers—they covered everything from classic rock to top 40. How loud was it? Well, while in our rooms, the liquid in our cups vibrated. I could not hear my husband, who was sitting directly next to me on the small couch. It was louder than Bourbon Street. It was like trying to chill out with a spin class happening three steps away. The band did end at 9:30 pm and we were relieved. Unfortunately, however, the bar then immediately turned on the regular music (which was only a hair less loud) and so we got blasted by studio tracks instead of live covers. ||||After housekeeping banged on the door at 8:30 the next morning (which was not super appreciated), we talked to the front desk. The manager informed us that there would only be three hours of steel-drum calypso music that day and seemed puzzled as to why we wouldn’t enjoy that. Now, I will say that the entire staff was very friendly. And I don’t hold it against them that they have an amazing spot for nightlife on the beach—seems like a great business model. But they should tell you ahead of time what you’re getting into. They ended up giving a refund for one room that they were able to rent out after we left, but said they would not refund the others “just because we didn’t like the music” (implying that if they had chosen some other genre, it would have been OK). ||||In sum, this would be a perfect place if you have just turned 21 or are throwing a bachelor party and would like to drink and dance the night away. When you’re ready to be done for the evening, you could just stand up, stumble twice, and be in bed. If, however, you have kids, elderly family members, or value relaxation, sleep, or privacy, this is not the...
