I like this health conscious eatery a lot because of the amazing selection of thoughtfully produced nutrient rich food, and hearty portions they provide, which are consistently of high standard quality. Moreover, I don't mind paying an arm and a leg for nutritious and tasty food. The venue borders A1A and abutts the long-established Bizarro pizza joint.
They have these fresh cold pressed drinks sealed in jars for sale at 8 or 9 dollars a pop, which satiate my ravenous hunger pangs. "The Sunny Garcia" one of their premiere jarred libations is stupifyingly thirst quenching. Not to mention, their loaded wraps served up with purple corn chips really get the job done.
I love walking into this place and seeing a sea of pretty eyes. The mostly smiling female staff are cute, friendly, and attentive to ensuring customers get their eats in a timely fashion.
The owner's voice has a loud penetrating presence with frequencies that seemingly permeate the place, even to it's far corners, when she's around.
This is a well organized business with a thoughtful menu. The place superficially appears very clean and tidy. I like the floor to ceiling windows at the rear and the cozy little side nook for chilling out. The faux convex fireplace has a really cool motif of tiles creating a foam-cresting wave about to crash down.
The only annoying thing on an occasion is that there are sometimes very loud noises coming from behind the bar, but this not enough to reduce my five star rating. At several visits I noticed the staff was using a mallet-hammer or meat tenderizer to beat the heck out of frozen bagged items, thusly shattering the ear drums of eating-in customers. They should take that Jack hammering back to the kitchen and close the doors. It would make for a better experience.
The location couldn't be better, a stone's throw away from the gently roaring ocean at Indialantic beach. Free parking.

If you're looking for a smoothie experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and satisfied, I strongly advise steering clear of Surfanista. This place is a masterclass in disappointment, and I can’t quite wrap my head around how they've managed to stay in business.
First off, the smoothies are shockingly inconsistent. It’s like they’ve taken the art of blending and tossed it out the window in favor of prepackaged, frozen ingredients. Each drink seems to be a lottery of flavor and texture, and unfortunately, the odds are rarely in your favor. One smoothie we ordered was so overwhelmingly tart that it felt like we were drinking sour medicine. When we asked for a replica of another smoothie, they forgot to add the honey, and when they finally did, they overcompensated, making it so sweet that it was inedible. We ended up tossing it, a $25 waste that stings just thinking about it.
What’s even more frustrating is the lack of flexibility. If you have any allergies, good luck. They don’t offer substitutions, leaving you stuck with options that might not work for you. It’s a one-size-fits-all approach that feels outdated and inconsiderate.
The atmosphere inside is arguably the only redeeming quality of Surfanista. It has a cool vibe that could have made for a great hangout spot. However, the staff seems to think they’re doing you a favor by serving you. Their attitude is off-putting, and instead of creating a welcoming environment, it feels like you’re intruding on their space. Mistakes are met with indifference rather than accountability, making it clear that customer satisfaction isn’t a priority.
In summary, Surfanista is a smoothie shop that could have been great but ultimately delivers mediocrity reminiscent of a low-maintenance boyfriend from high school—unremarkable and forgettable. Save your money and your taste buds; there are far better...
Read moreFor the price and the hype of their "healthy" options, I was sadly disappointed. The Acai blend they use is loaded with cane sugar, and they don't offer an unsweetened option like LivAcai does. For those of us who are trying to avoid the sugar, this place is a no go. As well as those are trying to avoid Pesticides in their food. None of the berries are organic and the conventional berries being used have been on the "Dirty Dozen" pesticide list for years now, same thing with the Kale and Spinach. You can't call it healthy if it contains more than 2 dozen different pesticides... But they are the same price as an all organic Acai place such as LivAcai right down the street from them, or the Green Room Cafe in Cocoa Beach. Even the Bald Strawberry makes their shakes with Organic Berries for the same price... I am not going to be wasting my money on Sugar and Pesticides. Not with so many other great actually healthy options, like the little Organic Store and Cafe next to Ace Hardware, they have smoothies, soup, sandwiches and Falafel- all organic, no worries about pesticides. Same thing with the Jungle Cafe up by Paradise Beach... fresh and clean food without the pesticides or fillers and sugars. Try their Raw Vegan Chocolate Cake... If I am going to have sugar, I want it to be something decadent like that... Not my breakfast Acai bowl, that should be loaded with Hemp and Chia...
