I would give it no stars if I could.

In 2013 I was listening to a spiritual radio podcast and one of the speakers there was Mark Anthony - the psychic lawyer. I've never heard of him, but got really drawn because he claimed to connect with the spirits of the departed and provide closures and/or give messages to their grieving loved ones.

There were a few callers on the show and without asking details Mr Anthony connected with each departed person and was telling the callers very specific things that their passed ones used to have, or songs they used to sing, or places they used to visit etcetera as if he was seeing those visions, which were confirmed by the callers as true. The calls and his conversations seemed legit and I decided to visit Mr Anthony's website and research further.

His website includes various links to appearances on TV, his books and publications and numerous client testimonials. And so I believed that he could help me.

My dad was killed in a mysterious tragic accident in 2005 and I never got a closure because of the broken pieces of information we received. Visiting Mr Anthony was my chance to get those answers and finally find peace.

As advertised on his website, to schedule an in-person reading I called Aquarian Dreams Bookstore and prepaid $250 for my upcoming reading. The session was scheduled three weeks from the day I called. I drove for 3 hours to Indialantic on "the wings of hope"..I was so happy anticipating connection with my dad, I even bought a small digital recorder to record my session, so that I could go back to it and listen over again.

As I arrived at the store, Mr Anthony took me to a small room at the back of the store, where we sat down for my session. I pulled out my recorder and asked if it was okay to record my session, but Mr Anthony looked at me scared and said that it was not allowed. From there, here is the recap of our conversation:

He said "You are here because someone dear to you has passed, right?" , "Yes, my dad" I answered, giving him my dad's name and telling him a bit about myself and my dad. He said "I am having difficulty connecting with him, so you must give me information about what happened to him" (the whole time Mr Anthony's body language, tone of voice and demeanor suggested he was anxious, struggled and uneasy). I said "I honestly only know very little, I was hoping you'd tell me what happened to him - that's why I am here"..Mr Anthony started nervously pacing the room, pausing, closing and opening his eyes, saying that he is having a hard time without me talking and telling him things..I said "All I know, is that he died in an accident at the sea", Mr Anthony then stopped closed his eyes, then looked at me and said "Okay. This is better. I connected with him. I see that he died at the Caribbean Sea"...no, it was the Sea of Japan" - I almost whispered..Then he exclaimed in frustration "Alright! This is not working! I can't connect to your dad! Our session is over. I can't help you."...

I was glued to my chair, trying to understand what just happened.. "What about my money?" I asked..He then walked out of the room to the register and told the lady to process my refund. Speechless, I took the receipt and walked out of the bookstore.

I sat in the car for a little while, crying in disbelief, trying to digest how almost a month of hope to connect with my dad was just destroyed in 15 minutes..

I was crashed, to say the least...

Not even once Mr Anthony expressed empathy or used calm kindness in our conversation...

Is it a scam? Does Mr Anthony conduct his sessions masterfully pulling the information out of his clients and then telling them what they need to hear?

A friend encouraged me to finally share this experience with others, because making money on people's grief is probably as low as one can fall. Hopefully, my story will help others who've lost their loved ones to make the right decision before signing up for these readings, because the owner of Aquarian Dream confirmed that Mr Anthony is still occasionally rents a room for...

I feel so fortunate to have found Aquarian Dreams as it has been an instrumental place for me to experience profound healing and personal growth for the past four years. Every person who comes through the door is welcomed into the community and treated with love, compassion and respect. I had never experienced that so clearly in a business setting before, and I recognize how rare and special that is in our world today.
