Exceptional and Awesome this Candlewood Suite is the Absolute hands down, the Best Place we have stayed in 50 years of marriage, work and personal travels!
Started with check in with Tanya at the front desk, listening and acting on Making My stay exceptional, upgraded us to a corner King Suite. Walked in to a beautiful updated kitchen, fully equipped, pantry, eating bar, and a massive front living room, with new everything, and beautiful.
Down the hall a walk in closet, on to a "lavatory" space, then separate room for tub/shower/toilet all bright clean and updated, and the towels were WHITE AND SOFT!
On to a massive room with king bed another lighted closet, and huge T.V. center, with awesome blackout drapery through out the suite.
Was well lite through out and quiet! 7th floor and never heard any of the other guest. Every inch was clean, bright, homey, which means the world, these days. The furnishings, carpeting, drapery, exceptional and All Stain FREE, and CLEAN!
Tanya was a delight, and I'm so glad she takes Pride in her Job and it Showed in the helpful, friendly, caring Lady she is. She is an Great Asset to this property and cared about each persons staying there.
I will mention this is downtown, close to the many hospitals, and I was a bit hesitant, but its well lit parking and I felt extremely safe. They have many guest coming in from out of town of all ages, Tanya said it was her goal to make this, a place that was exceptionally clean, pleasant and safe, so to take that concern off the families who where there with loved ones in the hospital, especially for the Children who needed a safe clean environment to be in. Those words were from the Heart, and it means the world to know she is that loving and caring! Tanya's card shows she the operations Manager, and She is Worth a million. I wish all HOTELS had a Tanya to care, as she does.
Wonderful night! Check out with Shania (Thursday morning), she was so sweet and fun. I complemented Shania on the AWESOME SUITE and how Tanya went above and beyond for us. She asked the area Mananger come up, and we visited and expressed our appreciation to him.
We arrived at our next stop before home to realize I left my makeup carry on bag at the desk area. I called and spoke with Abby who assured me it was there and they would get a box and get it ready to be sent. She was very nice and helpful.
Home and checked in with The Candlewood Suites at 1152 North White River Parkway W drive in Indianapolis, IN to follow up with the "left behind" items.
Was pleased when Tanya answered the phone and remembered us and YES Abby had packed my belonging and ready to ship. Tanya sent a link to help and follow up it was ready set to go. They were very helpful in getting my items back to us.
THANK YOU TANYA, YOUR AWESOME, AND IT SHOWS!
Thanks to Abby and Shania for everything, your team players at an awesome Place!
210% YES I WOULD LIVE HERE, IF I COULD! MY STAY...
Read moreMy son had a tournament and we had to stay 8 nights. Not only was this pretty much last minute, this was the biggest and best best priced place available. I believe we got the extended stay rate because we stayed over a week, but the cost was better then much smaller rooms in town. The pictures on the website did not do justice to how spacious and well appointed the accommodations were. The 2 bedrooms were big, one had a king and one a queen both with decent closet space. There was a work station in the king room. The vanity and bathroom were separate which was great for when 4 people are trying to get ready at the same time. The shower step up is a bit high which was fine for us but may be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided. The living area had a pullout sofa and a single recliner. There is a eating/ work area between the living area and kitchen. There are a total of 4 chairs (2 with wheels) so we were all able to sit and eat together. The kitchen is a decent sized galley kitchen all things considered. Full sized refrigerator, small sink, 2 burner electric stove, and a dishwasher. It is stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you will need. When we arrived everything was in the dishwasher after being run by the cleaning staff. There is a giant hallway closet that easily fit all our luggage and then some so they didnt take up room in the bedroom. There were 3 flat screen tv's, they were not smart tv's but we were able to hook up our firestick without issue.
The location was great. You are minutes from everything. The zoo, museum, ballpark, motor speedway, and great canal, park, downtown district are right at your fingertips. If you do not have a vehicle there are even scooters and bikes you can rent all over town.
Overall this was a great stay and we felt like we were home with all the amenities that are provided. If we are back in the area we will be...
Read moreWhile the front desk staff was friendly, my experience at this hotel significantly differed from the glowing reviews it received. I'm genuinely perplexed by the 4+ star rating, especially considering the nearly $250 I paid for a single night in a king studio. My expectations were far from met.
Here's a detailed breakdown of my concerns:
Misleading Appearance: The online photos portrayed a modern hotel, but in reality, it's a dated apartment building. The lack of a clear hotel sign at the entrance created initial confusion about whether we were even in the right place. Unsafe Elevator: The sole functioning elevator was unsettling. It felt unstable and had a concerning red liquid stain inside the ceiling light. Persistent Odor: The room had an unpleasant, artificial scent, as if an attempt was made to mask another, underlying odor. Questionable Sanitation: I had serious concerns about the cleanliness of the provided dinnerware. They appeared unwashed. The only available cleaning tool was an old, worn-out scrub brush, raising serious doubts about the hotel's sanitation practices. I questioned if that was the tool used to clean the plates. Disruptive Lighting: An intense floodlight shone into the room all night, and the curtains failed to block it out, making the room excessively bright. Noise Disturbances: Loud arguments and yelling in the hallway at 3 am, combined with the bright light, caused my children to mistakenly believe it was morning, further disrupting our sleep. Ultimately, I sought a peaceful place to rest during my travels. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far short of that expectation. I strongly advise future travelers to conduct thorough research...
