O STARS!!!!!! Booked this hotel for a special wedding block. We arrived at 1:45 PM to see if we could check in early since the reception started at 4:00 PM. Front desk clerk, Karen, gave us our room number and told us it hadn't been cleaned yet. Both front desk clerks, Yadira and Karen, instructed us to come back at check-in promptly at 3:00 PM. We left and came back promptly at 3:00 PM. When we got to the front desk, Yadira said our room wasn't ready and our room wasn't guaranteed to be ready until 5:00 PM. I reminded her that we were there at 1:45 and followed her directive to return at 3:00 PM. She had a very dismissive and rude attitude toward my husband and me. They had an entire room full of angry wedding guests!!!!!! We asked to speak to the manager and she pointed to the business card on the desk, so I called the phone number to complain. Karen answered and hung up the phone and said with a snarky tone, " I told you our manager will be in tomorrow." I asked for the corporate phone number and Yadira said, "You can get in on the website." I told her to write it it out for me and she told me that Pedro, the general manager, would be in at 7 AM the next morning. We get to our hotel room and experienced so many problems. 1-the fan would not turn off, 2-the nightstand had no electricity and a burnt out lightbulb, 3-the thermostat was out of order, 4-the window shade would not work. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! We waited 2 hours for a dysfunctional room. We were also late to the wedding reception. This place is a hell hole. Upon checking out, I asked to speak to Pedro and Yadira tells me, "I told you he'd be here at 7 PM yesterday." Those we're not her words at all!!!! I will be calling the corporate office tomorrow and making a formal complaint. The desk clerks have no customer service etiquette. There is no manager on site to resolve issues and the room was...
Read moreFirst, the nice things: the hotel is new and inviting. The front desk staff is very friendly and outgoing, the property is clean and nice, the rooms are big, comfortable, and modern. But that's what i have come to expect from Hampton Inn, which for years has been my "go to" hotel whenever I am traveling on the road for business or short vacations. I've stayed at Hampton Inns all over the U.S. But this location was a BIG disappointment. First off, the pillows were paper-thin...and when I asked the front desk for extra pillows, they told me that they don't have any. Second, this hotel is right next to the freeway and is VERY noisy, which is a surprise, since I have stayed at many Hampton's next to freeways and that has never been a problem before. Third, the walls are so thin you could hear what the guest in one room was watching on TV and the conference call / zoom meeting the guy in the next room was having. I had to wear ear earplugs in order to sleep. Fourth, the breakfast biscuits were so hard, you could throw them at a window and break glass and the eggs tasted like something created in a test-tube. Epic breakfast fail. I left in the morning for a day of work and when I returned that night, the room had not been made up and the towels hadn't been replaced -- I complained to the cheery fellow at the front desk who shrugged, gave me some fresh towels, and said, "oh well, they must have forgot to do your room." I am a big Hampton's Inn fan, but if this was my first experience with the hotel, I doubt I would...
Read moreWe just got back from a two night stay at the Hampton Inn in Indio, California. It was an excellent stay. The property seems very new. Check in was a breeze. Check in time was 3 PM but we arrived early - about 12:30 PM . The front desk clerk checked and they had a room available – the room was actually a bit of an upgrade as it was on the top floor.|The room was very large – the bathroom was well lit and had lots of counter space. TV was large and worked well. Bed was king sized and very stable – we loved it. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and was quite fast. |The A/C and heat both worked perfectly - easy to adjust with a wall mounted thermostat.|The room was clean and very quiet,|Breakfast was typical Hampton – small omelettes, hash browns, sausages, porridge, cereals, toast and bagels, and a waffle maker. Coffee and juice.|Lots of parking.|Lots of shopping and restaurants within about 1/2 mile. Probably a bit too far to walk.|The only complaint was that they only clean the rooms every other day. That’s fine for making the bed, but we needed replacement towels. When I phoned the front desk in the evening, they had fresh towels for us within about 5 minutes.|So all in all...
