From one star to three stars. The CEO ended up reaching out and due to his reponsiveness, and his ability to resolve the situation, I have a bit more faith in Desort Resort Management.
HISTORY If anyone can provide advice on how to get a response on violations that I asked to be removed over a month ago that have already been corrected, I would greatly appreciate it.
I received a violation back in September and I responded within via regular mail within days. It has been over a month and I have not received a response. I have spoken to a few office staff members and have emailed them a copy of my respsonse and I have yet to have anyone respond.
The violation pertained to a pre-exisiting door that was installed prior to my purchase. This is the second violation I recieved on an item that was pre-exisiting. To avoid issues, I went ahead and removed the door, as I am in escrow and I cannot close without those violations being removed. The new buyer understanbly so, does not want to inherit violations on a property that they are purchasing.
I mailed and emailed copies of photos showing the association that it had been resolved, yet the violations remain intact and I have to receive any type of response. Whom do I need to speak to?
10/29/2020: Follow up the CEO of DRM contacted me via email. I explained the sitation and he was able to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
I should add, this is the first time, I write a review such as this on google. To be quite honest, I was frustrated that I was being placed in a position, where I felt this was the only route I had left to take. Especially when the property manager tells me the association, cannot provide written documenation that they removed the violation. She wanted me to send photos of my property to the escrow company showing it has been resolved - even though that does not remove the violations, as they were not placed by the escrow company, they were placed by the association.
I explained the urgency and the only option provided was (a) send photos to escrow? (b) request a new report, which would be an out of pocket for me. I honestly do not understand, why a simple written response stating the violations had been removed was so difficult for a paying customer who has lived in this community for a few years now.
I have worked for several small business owners and I apprecaite the heart and strong wok eithic they place in their business. I've seen many reviews that are quite frankly unfair to these small business owners, as some of the reviews are petty or unrelated to the company itself. In knowing first hand how these reviews affect small business owners and their families, I wrote this review with a heavy heart. I also understand that you cannot always control how your office staff interacts with your customers. As many times I've seen business owners, including myself clean up a mess created by an unresponsive staff memember who cannot be bothered.
In this case, Mr. Dodge responded to my email, heard my concerns, apologized and corrected the issue. WIthin the same day of my request, he provided documentaition that my property had been cleared of its violations, which thankfully I was able to provide to escrow and the buyer. Because of this, I can now close escrow that had been held up for the past two weeks... due to this simple request not being fullfilled.
Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

Read moreOOOOOF....where do you even begin with these bums?!
First off, you can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in beautifying your house to bring up the value of the homes in the development (Shadow Hills, Jackson X Ave 41) in this case. They will still continue to harass you over a single bush that is not in season and died, or if your DG is not the "proper color." Bunch of bums that work for the company too. I tried to send a professional, yet strongly worded email and you would have thought I was asking for the first born child of the manager. Oh yeah, and prior to ALLOWING ME, yes, you read that right, allowing me to sell my home, they demanded I pay $9000.00 in "fees". Stay clear of these communists and never, ever live in an HOA development ever. Criminals, all of them.
