First of all, we called ahead for pricing info & were quoted a price of $85. Next, when I got there and asked for price the man told me "price is $85 plus tax but for you I give deal just $85 no tax." So we get in our room and it's totally not like brochure. FILTHY!!! Brochure says "all accommodations are newly remodeled. The Tivoli Hotel always provides to you a clean, new and comfortable room with a competitive rate." I couldn't help but notice that this place hasn't been properly cleaned since it's opening. Where's the housekeeper? Do they have one? Check out my pictures of this "clean, new and comfortable room with a competitive rate". Anyway, we checked in around 2 A.M. so we couldn't find much else plus our two kids were ready to sleep after travelling. After about an hour I saw a mouse run by the door. Called office and told about mouse and they didn't care. Then I started looking for the mouse and found a dirty pair of socks balled up beside the bed. So that's when I decided to start taking pictures of this dump. Next morning after staying awake all night I told the owner and he offered no apology nor remedy. He told me "I give bargain of $85. This good deal." He tried to tell me he normally charges $110 a night. Flat out B.S. Anyway this place should be stayed away from. TOTALLY FILTHY DUMP!! Go ahead, check the place out, you'll see. Oh yeah, the $85 doesn't even buy you breakfast here. Yup, no breakfast, no coffee or anything. Without exaggeration this place should cost about 25-30 bucks a night. It's the type of place where tweakers, dopers and prostitutes would be...
Read moreBed bugs! Yes it was disgusting and kept me and my kids from sleeping. I failed to check the reviews for this hotel. The beds are very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I can`t complain for that, since the price seemed reasonable for a room with 2 beds. I totally dismayed, almost, when I saw a dirty, old, dusty sofa. Dust was all over the room. In the lamp, & everywhere. I was told by the housekeeping staff that if I requested to be moved to other room, same as the one I had, I will be charged more, because according to them it was Saturday. I will rate this pig pen one star. And I don't usually complain. Hover, having previous reviews, I supposed, management and owners should be aware of it and take action to change the grossness of this place. I totally understand that the price y very affordable, nevertheless, people expect to sleep in a healthy environment. In conclusion, I will not recommend this place to any one. I hope the owners take action and do something, or health department closes it. It is important to also note that they charge a 10.00$ deposit for the tv control and the room key. In few words the wireless internet does not work and the tv control does not as well. In three days I was there, they did not clean the room or change the bed or took the...
Read moreI was pleasantly happy with this location after 90 minutes of analysing which hotel under $500 and near the airport will be safe enough to sleep in.
The room does seem quite accessible from the outside, but if you get a room up stairs there’s some distance from the carpark and street and the door has a bolt to secure the lock from the inside.
The room was clean, had a king bed and was comfortable. I could have used a blanket thicker than the available sheet, but I didn’t ask. There was a TV, microwave (no glasses), iron and appropriate bathroom necessities.
The location was near a few restaurants, but not too close and I highly highly recommend the Mexican one that is closest!
Being near the main road and the airport the noise is intense. Bring earplugs. I didn’t, but some tissues in my ears diluted the noise a bit and I was tired so I slept well. 10am is an early checkout but they let me stay until 11am when I asked.
The staff was more than friendly and it seemed safe to walk around, but I wouldn’t draw too much attention to yourself because I don’t believe it is a high income neighbourhood. The 7eleven across the road at the lights was...
