WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Inglewood

Nothing like the advertising. Not a healthy option. High fructose corn syrup generic syrups for their "protein bowls." The chicken got microwaved too long and my "veggies" were tossed on the bowl still cold (the kind of veggies your grandparents get served in the nursing home). The dumplings were soggy and flacid. The "ribeye" they advertise is more of an "unidentified meat shaving." Save yourself the disappointment and just go to Panda Express next door. Not what I was expecting and very unimpressed. Terrible seating environment, not welcoming at all. Music is too loud, lights make you feel like you're in the ER waiting room. They put everything in single use plastic like they're personally trying to cover the beach in trash. This place is a joke. Trying to trademark "Eat Smart Be Healthy" while serving hot garbage. From all the reviews for restaurants near LAX, it looks like folks should save themselves the money and the pollution and just go hungry for a couple hours. Everything in the immediate vicinity...

I was in last week, and thought about going back tonight. But, then I thought about the 3 Japanese businessmen that came in 10 minutes after me the last time, and the lady taking orders just blew them off. Apparently they were supposed to be picking up 10 dinners wherever they got them at. (I understand a little Japanese) After a few minutes, they agreed that they were being ignored and left. As a former restaurant owner, had I reviewed the tape and could hear their comments, to find out that there was a possible $350-$500 order let walk out the door, but the possibility of future Japanese sales this close to the airport are incalculable. I'm not sure if this person would still be in my employment. I know that I can't walk back in, and the food was enjoyable....

Wish there was zero star rating. Looked good from the outside. Menu looked good. The food came and the steak was cold to the touch and chicken was cold and undercooked. Staff was also cranky and crabby. I barely ate and got out of there. Eating at the place was the beginning of my nightmare. After 5 days of high fever, cold sweats, vomiting and NON stop diarea. The doc did a stool test and determined I had been food poisoned. Very dangerous for who already has some immune issue. Can't prove it was this place but you do the math. These jerks for that matter anyone in the food service business need to understand their action or lack there of can and do...
