We've been coming here to eat for the last three years, and at first the food was super amazing. Some of the best aguachiles and ceviches in the area, next to The Sirena Azul. But lately their service and quality has been getting worse, and today I felt embarrassed and dissapointed because we went here to eat as usual. Morning lunches with my wife are rare occasions since we are both working most of the time, so we decided to pop in for a nice lighter lunch before going shopping/making errands. When we walked in today we couldn't find a good clean table because there were still unbussed tables with piles of dishes and trash. My ceviche was fine, at least this has stayed consistently good but my wife got the Filete a la diabla, which is usually one of her favorites along with the Mojarra Frita. Well we had a long wait time, mostly because the server/waitress just couldn't shut up and stop talking to the other girl in the kitchen. She was literally just taking her sweet time and even to get our chips it took awhile. Much more to place our order and receive our food. But not only did it take long, they also got the wrong dish order for my wife; and on top of that while we were starting to eat another table, which was a pair of ladies who we're obviously freinds or coworkers or whatever with the staff there; got their order taken, chips, food, and drinks BEFORE we even finished our meal. And even the other tables who were waiting on their food were upset about this. Unfortunately we did not see the owner, Chente, who is usually there to upkeep everything which is probably why the service was atrocious. All I can say is that my wife refuses to go back there unless they get better service. Also the spicy sauce that they usually put on the dish wasn't the same as we've had previously, it was just some sort of garlic guajillo sauce that tasted more bitter than savory. Please fix your service issues and we will be back...

Like many other places it has it's pros and cons.
Cons: -Limited parking -Limited seating in the restaurant.
Pros: -Pretty good mariscos for a neighborhood place.
My wife and I usually always order the same thing, this is what our review is mainly on. The ceviche de camaron and agua chiles. The food is good, I enjoy it especially on a warm or hot day. The portions are pretty good for two people which is the reason we order one of each between my wife and I.
Don't get me wrong, I have been to super fresh marisco spots. Places where the fisherman literally park their boats on the beach and take out the fresh catch. That fresh!!!
Needless to say it is really hard to get anything fresh in the south bay. Reasonable pricing and good customer service so far. I believe that you will get treated correctly if you talk to them like normal people. I've been to places where the reviews talk about bad customer service but hardly get treated badly. Mainly has to do how the customer talks to the employee. So chentes employees to me have always been nice to me.
I recommend this place if you are in...

Before moving to Los Angeles, it used to be a brilliant first stop, as it is conveniently located from the car rental agencies. They invite you to bring your own beer, and that really is the perfect way to enjoy seafood and get yourself into the Nayarit beach mentality.
Nayarit is a coastal state between Jalisco and Sinaloa and is best known for its delicious seafood. The Nayarit-style seafood selection here is on many city best lists; worth coming to even when your origin is farther than LAX. This brilliantly fresh aguachile (photo 2) was thoroughly spicy and tart, perfect.
This mojarra frita (photo 1) seemed like it was caught just before we arrived. Squirt some lime. Are we...
