Per the company website and Hotels.com, there was supposed to be an outdoor pool and a free hot breakfast included with the stay. However, the outdoor pool was closed the entire time my family and I were there and the only offerings for breakfast were a few muffins, 2 types of dry cereal, milk, waffle batter, and bread (if you asked for it). The Welcome/Amenity sheet in each room even describes the "Easy Start-Free Breakfast" as "Complimentary Full Breakfast, which includes biscuits, gravy, waffles, juice, backed goods and much more" Those are my primary complaints. My family and I would have stayed elsewhere had we known in advance. Additional complaints include the 'fitness center' having no equipment except for 1 elliptical machine and 1 recumbant bike, half the washer and dryers were out of order, half the handles were missing from all the drawers in my room, there was exposed wiring in the wall going to the tv as well as where the smoke alarm in the ceiling was supposed to be, the bottom of the tub looked dirty, the shower walls were cracked, the shower head had either black mold or grime, staff entered my room despite my use of their 'do not disturb' door hanger and my asking the front desk staff member not to, and there were bags of garbage and broken glass under the stairs to the 2nd floor for the entirety of my stay. Attempts to speak with staff were fruitless and manager is absentee and unresponsive.

The Worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.... I'm in 1 weekly js. Management were unclear about why my reservation wasn't available. Took my payment in full before I had even checked in or signed anything. Was forced into a king room with my employee. Then aggressively woke us up and forced us into parking lot in our pjs for 2 hrs while they claimed to have cleaned my reserved room. I was told I would have help moving my luggage but the daytime manager didn't agree and was no help. I'm a 36yr old fragile female, with a 61yr old lady. When the room was made available, we brought our things up stairs and my employee noticed blood on the walls. We changed and had the cleaning lady in the room to clean the bathroom. We then left fir work. We come back several hrs later, door key doesn't work. I'm hot and very tired at this point. I walk into the room and grab a towel..... blood on all rags, hand towels and towels.... I go to the office and ask to check our. Management argue me for 10 mins causing a line of people behind me and I was called a name for wanting to checkout. Accused of not giving them a chance to fix the problem. He repeatedly said I will bring you some towels. Check out these pictures of the condition of these rooms. MADISON CO. TN HEALTH DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO STEP IN

I reserved a room online once I was 15 minutes away. Walked in was told my reservation date was for 2 weeks out. Obviously the date got messed up. I asked to change it. I was passing through and needed it tonight not in 2 weeks. He Refused to change it. Only 20 minutes had passed since I did the reservation. So I asked for a refund since he wouldn’t change reservation date. He refused. He offered my daughter and I a more expensive room at regular price no credit from my paid reservation. Offering a room to which I’d have to pay again and at an even higher rate wasn’t my idea of a solution. My daughter’s husband has just passed away. We aren’t from this area. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this place Econo lodge in Jackson Tennessee nor would I recommend the hotel across the street from it, called Days Inn. They are both owned by the same owner. The Days Inn is in horrible shape. Had I known it was the same owner and that this place is as nasty as it looks I would not have stayed here either. It’s run down smells horrible. Towels are stain

i go to check in. clerk: “we may not have the room you reserved, but I can give you a worse room for the same price.” me: “but i have a reservation.” clerk: “we only have one cleaning person today so the rooms didn’t get clean... oh wait. it looks like we already gave you a room. here’s the key. let me know if it’s dirty.” i go to the nonsmoking room which smells like smoke. we login to the wifi using the password provided and get a “no internet connection” message. i go back to request some air freshener—and they don’t have any—and to ask about the wifi. she says she’ll call her boss. a few hours later the internet comes on. The door doesn’t stay closed on exiting, numerous times we would have to go back and re-close it. i leave to go get food. when i get back, both parking spots in front of my room are taken. in fact all parking spots on that side of the building are taken. and my key doesn’t work. Eventually the key does start working. I go ask about parking and am told i can park on the other side of the building. the air conditioner rattles like a shopping cart with a broken wheel going down a gravel road. Whenever it would turn in we thought it was housekeeping rolling a cart down the sidewalk. which is not a pleasant way to wake up multiple times per night because you always think you’ve overslept. every couple of hours the tv turns itself off. the shower has a massage wand that leaks. at 8:30 the next morning I go to eat breakfast (which is served until 9) and all the hot food is gone. i wait 20 minutes hoping in vain someone will do their job. They never do.  i settle for buying a danish at a convenience store and going back to my room and heating it up in a microwave that was cobbled together from other microwaves going back to probably about 1988. This is one with an old fashioned rotating timer that can’t possibly give you an accurate time. And the rotating tray doesn’t fit on the wheels, which in turn don’t fit in the track. We leave for lunch, and when we get back we have to park about 100 yards from our room again. (In fact, we never were able to park reasonably close to our room the entire time). the keys didn’t work again and we had to go to the clerk to have them reset. The next morning we didn’t even bother trying to eat breakfast, and my key stopped working while I was packing and loading up the car. I am happy to report that the toilet worked without incident, and none of the furniture broke. Other than that, I don’t think anything else ever worked properly. I reported all of the problems we were having to the front desk and no resolution or compensation was offered. I also filed numerous complaints on the website—both before and after check out—which were all ignored. All subsequent attempts for resolution have also been ignored. Their website makes it borderline impossible to post reviews on their site. Note that I waited 5 days for someone to respond to my complaints before posting this review. I truly gave them every opportunity to...

This used to be my favorite property in Jackson for the value precovid. I am not sure if it is new owners or what has happened. This will be the worst review I have ever written for a Choice Hotel property being a Diamond member and past Choice property manager for 10 years. The wifi would not work consistently in the room but would work in the parking lot. When you walked into the handicap room, you were overwhelmed with a variety of smoke smells and the smoke detector disconnected and placed on the sink. Your handicap bathroom still has the sawed off/capped pipes exposed several inched from where the sink was removed to make room for the shower. As diamond members, we asked for a late check out and was told noon, which was appreciated. At 11:25 am a lady opened the door, stopped only by the security latch, yelling into us to leave now in a heavy accent. We told her we had requested a noon check out. She said a few things we didn't understand and then clearly stated that she would return. As we were loading the van at 11:50 am, she began banging on the door again, so we told her from the parking lot that we were finished with the room. If the front desk had told us we could not have stayed until noon, we would have left promptly at 11 am. When going down for breakfast at 8am, we were told that it was not offered, coffee only. Is this acceptable for a Choice Hotel? We paid over $70 to stay in the lowest class room I have ever stayed in, without internet, without breakfast, and without peace. I highly recommend staying at the Clarion a few blocks down, no matter the extra cost. You can't put a price on customer service and this property has sadly lost the great customer service that they...

Absolutely HORRIBLE !! We arrived at midnight and were told that room was not ready. Man went into room to supposedly clean and make beds, but beds looked sloppy, sheets and pillow cases were stained and dirty, floors and door knows were sticky / dirty, thick disy on lamp shades and Headboards of beds, bedspreads and furniture were dirty and had holes, air conditioner was loud, lamp was unplugged and had no light bulb, walls and mirrors dirty, refrigerator had old containers of yogurt left in it, metal shelf was falling off the wall, metal tissue box very Rusty and dirty, one small bar of soap only and no shampoo or Lotion etc, bathroom was filthy with mold and scum, towels worn out and not folded neatly, room smelled nasty, and last but not least roaches and bed bugs !! We wouldn't have stayed but we had our dog with us and it was so late. My husband had a business meeting the next morning and had been told that we could have a late check-out for me and the dog to stay in the room til 1pm. The house keeping woman began banging on the door and saying "you get out now !!"at 10:45 am. I explained about late check-out, but she was just rude and kept screaming at me ! Don't think she spoke much English. She banged on the door 4 more times before we checked out at 1 pm. Needless to say, we were very dissatisfied ! Will not recommend this dump to our worst enemy. We would really like to...
