Linda, Listen. I haven’t been to an IHOP in well over 10 years. A friend and I would go to Coach House in Union City after the bar to get pancakes to soak up the liquor, but after getting fancy renovations, Coachhouse decided not to stay open 24 hours, which really sucked. We NEEDED the goods though after multiple gin & tonics and so I hopped up on our reliable Google, and saw that IHOP understood the assignment, fully! They said, “welp, we’re still open 24/7”, and I said, “welp, then here’s my money, honey”. So, we pulled up, and were greeted by THEE BEST WAITRESS EVER! Her name was Iyesha. Black woman who simply seemed to love life, as well as what she does. She was full of smiles and gratitude, and it was her, who made this experience! She took our food orders, brought out hot water for us to sterilize our silverware (when a black woman brings you hot water to sterilize your silverware, you DO IT). She even brought us hot maple syrup without us even asking for it. She was a DOLL! She laughed and joked with us and I just felt at home, like she was my aunt. What a personality. The food was good. I got pancakes, eggs and bacon, and they hit the spot! Soaked that gin right up! I had been skeptical about IHOP for years, and not saying that I’ll become a regular, but those late nights after the bar may just lead me back to this specific IHOP, not just for the pancakes, but also for Iyesha! Much LOVE to that QUEEN!

Went for brunch today, and after almost 30 years of being a customer, I probably won't be back. After basically being bullied to order by our waitress, Elizabeth, we ordered a breakfast sandwich combo that included pancakes and a side of smoked sausage as a side. We also ordered a breakfast sampler and swapped the pork links for smoked links as shown on receipt in the picture. After about 15-20 minutes, we get the order. The photo reflected below is supposed to be the breakfast sampler. I told the waitress as she put the plate down, "This is wrong, and we're missing pancakes." She says ok and proceeds to disappear for another 15 minutes and comes back with nothing asking if everything is OK. I respond no and try to give her the plate, and she walks away again! She comes back with the additional items, and my original food is ice cold. She looked me dead in my eye and said: "I can put it in a microwave for you." Maybe it's just me, but if that's what I was interested in, I can cook at home. And what bothered me most is that it's right on the receipt. Also, we weren't the only party in my section with the same issue. In the end, the item was removed, and after the fact, when we were leaving, management attempted to discuss it, but it was too late at that point. But yeah, not a good look.

Just the other day I said, “IHOP is just that, IHOP, nothing spectacular”, today I eat my words! Not because I found a spectacular IHOP, but because today I saw substandard service at its best. My Turkey Bacon was limp, lacking crunch & tasting as if it was straight out of the microwave, to be honest, I’ve made Turkey bacon in the microwave that was 10 times better. Although my pancakes were nice & fluffy, I didn’t really care for them, they were a tad bit dry & kept sticking to the roof of my mouth. My favorite thing was my hot chocolate because I asked that it be made with milk. The syrupy bottle was disgustingly sticky, dirt & had food particles under the flap (see pics), I dare not use that. As for the service it was just mediocre. It’s the little things that count, I know I may sound petty to some, but part of good dining experience is the little things, like cleaning down the syrupy bottles, checking on your guest to see how the service is or if they need anything; making sure their food is okay; you get my point. This was just not a good experience especially after the disgusting syrup bottle.

Terrible Experience – Never Coming Back!

I took my son to IHOP for his 5th birthday, expecting a fun and enjoyable meal, but unfortunately, our experience was terrible from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, the place smelled terrible—like an outdated nursing home and cigarette smoke. It was off-putting and made the restaurant feel unclean. Despite not being busy at all, we were seated by the restrooms. When the food finally arrived, I bite down on my mozzarella stick and it was still frozen inside! Our pancakes were poorly prepared, and not what we had expected. They tasted like the batter was still raw in the middle. To make matters worse, our server was inattentive and seemed like he was bored and did not want to be at work. We even had to flag him down just to get basic things like utensils after receiving our meals. What made it even more disappointing was that I mentioned it was my son's birthday, hoping for at least a little acknowledgment—maybe a simple "Happy Birthday" or even just decent service—but there was nothing. It really ruined what should have been a special occasion. Overall, this visit was a huge letdown. Poor service, bad food, foul smell and a lack of attention to customers made this one of the worst dining experiences we've had. If I could, I’d give them 0 stars. I would not recommend this location and won’t...
