We had dinner on Christmas Eve at Pearl Lian like we've done for several years. I was highly disappointed this year and more than likely will never eat at Pearl Lian again. Upon arrival, we were seated only to find there was a limited menu this year. No big deal; however, we were interested in Sushi only to be told we couldn't as the menu was set. Looking around, we several other tables having Sushi -- go figure. We ordered our meal and waiting, and waited, and waited. You'd think a set menu would mean quicker food to the table but no dice. 45 minutes later, the food shows up and it was terrible. I've had better frozen dinners from the microwave. The bill arrives shortly thereafter with the 20% gratuity already included, so I guess they didn't care about the wait or the quality as they were getting their tip anyway. Now comes the kicker... I hardly finish signing my credit card receipt and an older asian lady (manager / owner) comes up and asks us to leave as they have people waiting on our table. They probably wouldn't have had people waiting had it not taken them 45 minutes to bring the food to our table in the first place. This place has clearly turned into lower end, cash grab Chinese restaurant. They don't have to worry about me ever complaining about their restaurant again as I will...
Read moreLiterally in the cut. But we’ll worth the visit. I was greeted and seated immediately, customer service was great friendly and attentive. I enjoyed all of my food. The best thing about this place, I like is I can actually see the kitchen preparing food. With a closed glass window. No disturbances and they were all wearing mask. My food came out well prepared, hot and worthy the seafood wonton soup was good the mule drink was excellent. The triple Mongolian beef chicken and shrimp is excellent. I also got a plate of spicy basil to go with steak. The Ambience is very nice and warm and welcoming. They have a tv and the game was l Playing. Sushi and bar also. Did I mention excellent customer service from my waiter? Brandon is his name! Prices are...
Read moreOur first time here. The environment, decor, and ambiance is very nice and dim romantic. Spacious and plenty of seating.
However, the food is just average. The steamed dumplings are the round small type and reminded me of the Wei-chuan dumplings in the freezer section at Asian grocery stores. They did not taste like they made it themselves.
The food portion is not much but enough for one person. The food is more Americanized Thai/Chinese food and reminded me of Golden Seven type food.
The avocado sushi roll was good. My daughter seemed to like it.
The veggies and shrimp tasted very fresh, which is always a plus.
Service was great.
Good if you are in the area, but if you want real authentic Chinese/Thai food,...
