The absolute worst in patient care. Pharmacies have the ability to anticipate and have an obligation to the patient to ensure medications on a continuous basis (prescriptions renewed/refilled every month) are available to the patient or notify the patient as soon as possible when a disruption in medication is going to occur. This is especially true when dealing with schedule II medications. Walgreens has failed on numerous occasions to ensure medications are available - and have caused undue pain and suffering to patients, leaving them to (and I quote) "call around and find another pharmacy which may have the medication." Customer Support is equally worthless when faced with this situation telling me, "if it were me or my child, I wouldn't stop until I found the medication I or my child needed." No kidding, Sherlock!! How about Walgreens taking accountability for the situation they caused? This conversation with customer service was at 8:50 PM in the evening when most pharmacies were closing!! I was forced by Walgreens to go the full weekend without a strong dosage of pain medication critical to my pain management and I have YET to hear back from Walgreens management!! Or anyone from Walgreens for that matter. Walgreens really failed this time - most eye opening is how management and customer care (to include the Supervisor) have zero intent to do what is right for the patient. You are on your own!!!
Update: Pharmacy Manager gave me a call at 3:00 Monday 12.04.23...apologetic and took responsibility. That's a start - but, not where it needs to be to trust medications will be kept in stock to ensure dispensing when needed. Again, this is a schedule II narcotic at a high dosage not normally kept on hand. He knew this and failed to manage the Pharmacy. That being said, it was the utmost disrespect and dismissive response/treatment from the staff - zero compassion and zero empathy. Deserves a zero star rating until improvements are made. Unfortunately, I cannot risk being in same...
Read moreMy wife and I have experienced various very satisfied services from many great people, but today we have to say that Maryam in Walgreen Johns Creek Crossing store is the best we have ever seen! We have been feeling happy the whole day after her help this morning. We need to use our OTC card balance before the end of this month, so we went to Walgreen store to buy some supplementals. This is the first time we have used this card, so we didn’t know how to find the items we need yet OTC eligible. During our check-out more than half of the items were not accepted. Maryam not only explained to us how to know if an item is OTC eligible, but also went to the shelf to show us item by item, and counting the balance while we re-select the balance again. When we did check out again, some items marked OTC eligible on Walgreen label we rejected by insurance company. Maryam suggested we call our insurance company. She helped us to explain to the insurance company in detail. Maryam then checked the expiration date of each item and found one of them would expire in next April. She went back to the shelf to find another one with a longer expiration date. We even did not realize to check that! The re-check-out showing that some items were rejected again. We were afraid to waste her time by making change again, but Maryam encouraged us to try again. Her eyes had been showing sincerity all the time. It’s common sense that good people can help customers one or two times, but how about 3, 4 or 5 in a row? Maryam did that! She was even more patient than us! We deeply appreciated her help. We believe that her service should be a role model for all of us. Thank you from our deep...
Read moreEverytime I call, I'm placed on hold. Normally only 10-15 mins. Right now, I've been on hold for literally 1 hour and 4 mins. The phone rings and they immediately put me back on hold, no one says anything. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm just trying to get information on my prescription. I sat in the drive thru last week for over 30 mins just to be told my prescription was out of stock and it would be there in 3 days. Called 3 days later, as advised by the pharmacist, and they said it would be another "couple days" but they don't know when. Now, another 3 days later, it's there but they WON'T EVEN SPEAK TO ME SO I CAN KNOW WHY MY PRESCRIPTION HASN'T BEEN FILLED!!! I've been INCREDIBLY patient for something that I've had to go in, call and wait and wait and wait and NO ONE will even speak to me and give me ANY information???? This is BY FAR the worst Walgreens!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Over an hour they've left me on hold!!!!...
