We’ve been loyal customers of this place for a long time — the pizzas and gelatos have always been a treat for our family and friends, and we’ve looked forward to our visits here every week. Unfortunately, after our recent experience on this Thursday evening, we walked out in tears and disbelief.
We had our usual order: pizzas, drinks, and gelatos, with two kids and four adults in our group. When we simply asked for an extra cup to share the gelato among the kids, the staff refused. At first, we were taken aback , it felt odd. Instead, we were told to use a tiny condiment cup meant for crushed red pepper. When I asked how much an extra empty cup costs, the manager intervened and insisted that we’d have to purchase another gelato if we wanted an extra empty cup, something that felt completely silly to me and I expressed the same to my family. At no point was I rude to the staff. My voice only raised a little when the manager started attacking me and my ability to purchase an extra cup. Disappointed, I went back to the table and told the rest of my family that it didn’t feel like good customer service and by then the situation escalated quickly. The manager came to our table and tossed a bunch of pizza boxes at our table, and told us rather harshly — to leave the premises. Those were the exact words "take it and leave the premises"
We were stunned. The pizzas was paid for and getting cold, the gelatos as well, melting, and the children were visibly distressed by the yelling and tension. My 4-year-old started crying loudly. It was a distressing scene we never imagined we’d face at what used to be our favorite spot. My family tried to talk to the manager and understand what went down but the staff and manager stood by their behavior and claimed we were in the wrong for using the word "silly," which I used in the conversation with my family because I genuinely I couldn’t understand being asked to buy another gelato just to receive an empty cup.
What hurts the most is that we have experienced unpleasant customer service in the past, never let it escalate. We’ve brushed it off in the past because we loved the food and hoped those moments were just miscommunications. But this time, it felt personal. It felt aggressive. And it left us shaken. At no point did they show even a hint of remorse. There was no apology, no attempt to de-escalate, instead, they continued to blame us simply for trying to explain our side of the situation. And despite everything that happened, we never asked for a refund. In fact, I had even left a good tip while placing the order.
Reading other reviews now, I realize we’re not alone. Several others have shared similar experiences, pointing to a pattern of disrespect and even discrimination. It’s heartbreaking to say this, but we won’t be coming back. A place that once brought us joy is now a painful memory.
Again, Good Pizzas. I’ve personally recommended this place to many friends and family over the years. But no matter how good the food is, it simply isn’t worth being treated with such...

I started with the Caprése salad that had fresh, ripe tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Then I had the Italiano Salad with a spring mix, crumbled blue cheese, honey roasted pecans, blueberries, and apricot dressing. Next, I tried the Margherita Pizza which had fresh buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, and fresh garlic. I also had the Sorrento pizza with pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and fresh garlic. The sweet ending was the Voga Italian Gelato an authentic Italian Ice Cream. I also tried the Cannoli with vanilla cream filling, garnished with chocolate chips and pistachios and made fresh daily.

Read moreOutstanding Neapolitan pizza, amazing service, and beer on tap!
I should’ve gone here a long time ago. Itala Pizza has been open for about 3½ years, and I finally stopped in — now I regret waiting this long! This place has easily become my new favorite Neapolitan pizza spot in North Georgia.
The first thing you notice when you walk in is the space — plenty of room, large tables, and a layout perfect for families and groups. I even saw another table celebrating a birthday and grabbing gelato afterward. The service is fantastic, everyone’s friendly, and the whole place runs super efficiently.
They’ve got two wood-fired ovens, which means pizzas come out fast — mine was ready in about 5 minutes even though it was busy. The Sorrento pizza (their pepperoni) was amazing: crispy, flavorful, not greasy, and that dough… just perfect. The crust had the right chew, and the pizza was served on a sturdy tray that keeps it from sliding around.
Prices are about $20–$25 per pizza, one size (roughly 15–16”), great for two people. I even had leftovers, and the pizza still tasted great cold later.
The pistachio cannoli was fantastic — perfectly fried, light, and filled just right.
They’ve got a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine (Coke Zero for me 🥤), a cooler with Italian drinks, beer on tap, and — my favorite touch — a big metal container by the register with hot extra pizza sauce for dipping. It’s those small details that make the experience special.
Parking was easy, even though the plaza is busy. There’s plenty of overflow parking across the way if it’s packed during peak hours.
All in all, amazing food, great people, fast service, and some of the best authentic Neapolitan pizza around. Highly recommend checking this place out — you’ll be...
