Not a Great Dining Experience Today, But the Food Was Amazing As Always!! I went there today and for the first time the service was not that great. I was seated. I sat for about 10 minutes before my server came over. She took our full order at that point and we waited another 10 minutes to get our drinks while I watched her go to other tables and talk with other employees and get other tables who were sat after us their drinks. I hate to complain but I waitressed the entire time I was in college and shortly after. I Also had my eight-year-old daughter with me who thank God is well-behaved even when she’s starving because otherwise she would’ve been throwing a temper tantrum and misbehaving, which technically wouldn’t have been my fault. Then she told me that coffee had to be brewed so I waited another 5 to 7 minutes. And then she forgot part of our order. I know that she’s not a new waitress and it didn’t appear she was having a bad day because she was more than happy to laugh with her coworkers. And before we left we asked for a box And my husband decided to go pay he came back to the table. There was still no box to which she stated from the register I already put it on your table Only to realize she had not put on the table because I watched her pick it up and put it down and then go do something else in the kitchen before she went to the register to ring my husband out. Like I said, I hate to complain, but I waitressed for a very long time and this was extremely disappointing, and I feel some people need to be retrained and realize that not everybody has to tip Even though we did, which is what she was counting on, she definitely wasn’t interested in waiting tables today. She was much more interested in goofing around and talking with other coworkers who happened to be sitting, right where I could see them as we were waiting for drinks and food. Again, I’m very lucky that my eight-year-old daughter is well Behaved because I don’t feel a majority of other kids would have sat so quietly. And I hate disturbing other people while they are trying to enjoy their meal and I don’t like going outside with a hungry child who doesnt understand they are disrupting the tables around them. Because I am one of those parents who immediately takes their child outside if they’re misbehaving, so I don’t disrupt people around me, but there’s only so much you can do with a hungry kid, and not all parents do the same thing which is unfortunate, but who’s fault would it have really been? (Sorry for any spelling errors. I dictated...
Read moreI haven’t had this bad of an experience in a while and thats saying something considering the service industry has become disappointing in general over the last couple years. Server dropped the food off (which was room temp at best and sad looking) and then didn’t come back to our table until nearly 50 minutes later. No refills, no checking on how things were. Needed something for one of the dishes but couldn’t get a hold of her so it just sat there to get cold. Waited an eternity for the check. We got to a point where we started timing because we were genuinely curious how long she would take at that point. I asked her to take an item off the bill and told her we had been trying to get a hold of her for 40 mins and she said “yeah it’s just me on the floor” - mind you there were 2, maybe 3 other tables (and not even all at the same time) and we had watched her miss plenty of opportunities to stop by the table. We were both in the industry, so we’re the first ones to acknowledge when someones in the weeds or trying but is overwhelmed - but we are also very aware of what it looks like when its just purely bad service. She would put tips in on the computer (if you serve, you know that tables come first and you do that at the end of the shift most times because you’re too busy to do it during). Takes two seconds to table touch but she passed us repeatedly, wouldn’t look at us, etc. Honestly insane. I haven’t had many experiences in life that made me want to swear off a place and never go back but this is one. We are never coming back to this location. This isn’t our first time having her either - she is consistently neglectful and MIA. Can’t believe how bad this...
Read moreWorst customer service. Very poorly maintained/ managed . Waited for about two hours at the table to get food served and finally walked out with out having food. Don’t keep proper track on who came first or who ordered first. Plus non courteous ( they need to learn to say magic word ‘sorry’ , if they delay serving food).
This used to be our favorite restaurant for brunch since many years . First time had such worst experience at this lication. After the incident, we enquired about the restaurant and came to know that management changed . Couple of our neighbors also said they had similar experiences n stopped going there.
Disclaimer:
“We do understand the shortage of labor and struggles the restaurants are going now a days” , so waited patiently for a little over two hours.. couldn’t take their poor management and non courteous, non apologetic staff.
Details: Waited for about 30 minutes to get seated ( which is fine) .Waiter took order after 40 mins of waiting at the se(,, took order from people who came after us couple of them came after 30 minutes n get to order …Inspite of us requesting some one to take order.) Again waited about an hour to get food.. finally walked out of the ihop, when we realized people who came after we ordered food got their food. What we ordered were regular waffles, omelets .. nothing fancy. We reminded waiter about food couple of times . While stepping out we informed waiter he said ok ( no magic word sorry for delayed service).
The response from manager was same. She was not apologetic about delay. Can accept delayed food service but couldn’t accept the, ignorant behavior...
