NOTE: We're biased as we are originally from Metro Detroit, having eaten at many Mediterranean restaurants, and have friends how own and/or cook at restaurants. We were in metro Atlanta and had chosen this place based on online reviews as we really miss good Mediterranean food. The hummus was tasty, though it was an unusual color (our guess was that that they added sumac). It does not show up clearly in the picture but it was pink. Our server was wonderful, friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We're used to Mediterranean meals being served with multiple baskets of complementary fresh baked pita bread and sides of toum. Our server did not even seem to know what toum was and the pita bread seemed to be considered a highly precious commodity; we did not see the typical wood fired oven to bake pita bread.. Also, oddly, there was no bottle of olive oil on the table. I did not see ANY kibbeh on the menu; While it's not unheard of to not see kibbeh nayeh because there needs to be significant client demand to prevent waste, we did expect to see baked kibbeh and were disappointed it was not available. The lentil soup was different from any I have ever had before. While tasty, it was based on a much stronger broth than I expected. The Avgolemono was disappointing. Also missing was shish tawook and shawarma (two of our favorites) For the main course we went with (chicken & lamb) kabobs and gyros. The rice seemed very unusual with no vermicelli and topped with something yellow (visible in pictures on their web site). Seemed to be a little less flavor than we expected. I forgot to take pictures of the entrees but they are visible on their web site. The lamb kabob was very tasty and the chicken was good as well. The gyros meat was tasty. The overall portions were MUCH smaller than we generally expect, both the appetizer and the entrees. As a result we ordered dessert. The baklava was tasty, though it had far more cinnamon than expected and I'd suggest requesting them to leave off both the chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. The cannoli cream was good, though the filling was not all the way though, just on the ends (and the topping). I'm not a fan of chocolate chips but my wife, who ordered it, liked them. So, overall, it was a good meal, though a bit unusual. Price was about what we expected, but, as mentioned, the portions were a little small and the lack of baskets of fresh pita bread was disappointing. Service was great, food was fresh,...
Read moreOk. I am rewriting my old review since we visited Rose and Olives again and I did not see that server I did not enjoy the last three times. Thank you for the new friendly staff that you have got now.
Food: Their Kabobs were amazing. I would suggest Barg and Koubideh, which to me their Barg Kabob was the best in town. Very tasty, juicy and delicious. Their Chicken was amazing as well. Other items I liked was their Lamb Shank with rice and their Ghormeh Sabzi stew and their Fesenjoon were above my expectations. If you are in the mood for a sandwich, get their Chicken or Lamb Wrap and you will not be disappointed.
Price: Very Reasonable and Fair for their high quality.
Service: This time, I was amazed by the service. Owner was very friendly. He checked on us several times and his server was also very polite. Great service.
Atmosphere: Nice restaurant. Beautiful music, very authentic and friendly vibe that makes your dine in experience memorable.
Overall: I loved your food, service and the ambiance.
My Message to the new owner: First of all, I wanted to say good job and congrats. I am sorry for my previous review. I dined in at your restaurant 3-4 times before. Not going to lie, I loved the food every single time. However, I wrote a bad review only because I did not like how the server (the old guy) was talking to me and my guest. I’m glad I didn’t see him this time and I promise you we will definitely be back and we will tell other people in the community about your amazing food and place. Thank you for everything and the beautiful night you made for us ✨🌟 Please keep up...

Sir, sorry to give your restaurant and mediocre and honest review. I eat out more than most and can eat extremely spicy food, including food that middle eastern and Indian friends cannot eat. While I have reactions to extremely spicy food like sweaty scalp, nose and flushness, my lips never tingle. This only happens with fried foods that have been cooked in well used oil. I am not suggesting your restaurant is unsanitary or unhealthy, I am only suggesting that my food was not good for the reasons I stated. There are way too many restaurants in the area and you need to step up a little with your food, at least for me. I was hesitant to return but after your response I will most definitely not be back to your establishment.
Dined here due to the good ratings on Google. Overall i was on the slight disappointed side. Server was very attentive and friendly. The dips and pita were all very good. However the falafel was not very good and along with the chips, made my lips tingle which is a sign of dirty and overused fry oil. The kabobs were ok.
I hate providing an average rating here, but give the number of Persian, Mediterranean and Indian restaurants in the area, I will likely not...
