If I could give this place no stars I would. I traveled from Texas to California for my daughters graduation present. Ive had 0 issues so far except at this lodging site. I drove 15 hours in 1 day just to make it here. The lodging itself is wonderful & has great views. With the right management it would be a 5 star place. It was clean, the beds were comfy and the views were great. Were it went terribly wrong was when I noticed two charges on my account in the morning. One was 125.03 the other was 102.97 which was my expedia price. I asked the owner why there were two pending charges. He immediately got rude and snapped at me. He gave me a reciept with my name severely misspelled for $125.03. Again the wrong amount & said I did not charge you twice call your bank. After it had been a few days & no longer pending & now a permanent transaction I gave him one more opportunity to refund me. This time he told me Expedia charged me a second time. I spent two days for hours at a time on the phone with expedia as the conducted thier investigation. At which time the hotel owner had several excuses none of which were true. He said I had two bookings so the other one was a cancellation fee and even though I showed up he still charged me because I had two bookings. When expedia confirmed I only had one he lied and said o she has another booking with booking.com. I dont even have a booking.com account. Expedia wanted to know why it wasnt the rate that was on expedia and thats why he said this. So not only did I get charged twice but also two different rates. Ridiculous! Lies after lies. I finally called the fraud department at my bank. This has ruined a good part of my vacation having to be on the phone for days & hours at a time. This is a scam because if my bank refunds me he will get to keep the extra charge. If you read I am not the only one that this has happened too. I am going to order a new card too just in case I start getting mysterious charges! Do not give them your card info!!!! Thanks for ruining a once in a lifetime graduation present for my only...

The cabins are nicer in many regards than we expected however some things fell short making them a little better than OK. First, one of my pet peeves are rooms with tiny toilets. The toilets in these rooms are tiny. Most men of average build or bigger would not be able to pee and poop at the same time. They sit low, have small round bowls and take double flushing. I'm sure they got a deal on toilets because these are not ADA compliant. Next issue was that the pillows were a bit flat. On the good side they provide plenty but I don't like doubling up my pillows because they don't stay. Another annoyance is our front door was out of alignment. Even though the key worked the door wouldn't open. It literally took some major elbow grease to get it to open. It then was difficult to shut securely. I think security is important in a rented room and being unsure the door was secure left to be desired. On the good, The front porch is a nice touch but you can't sit on it and run the air inside at the same time. It's noisy because the A/C unit is a wall unit below the front window but worse it blows hot air out on the porch. As long as everyone is either in or out it's not a problem but otherwise someone will be uncomfortable. We were able to enjoy the porch. Another big plus is you can park right in front of your cabin making it easy to load and unload bags. Cell service is weak here on the edge of town but the WiFi worked well. No breakfast provided. There is room to park vehicles...

I was so excited to stay at the cabins because of the good reviews I read and because of the cost. The cabins are located at a great spot in the town right off Highway 89. The Kanab visitors center, gas station and Wendy’s is within walking distance. |When I pulled up to the parking lot the cabins looked so neat . I loved how they were right against a mountain range. The check in office is very small and nothing fancy. There was such a strong smell of incense that I could hardly breath and it burned my eyes. Check in was quick. There’s also a free ice machine located in that area. |I was so excited to get to our cabin but as soon as I open the door I was so disappointed. The room was hot, musty and smelled like it was not cleaned with any cleaning products. I turned on the AC to try to help with the musty smell. There was crumpled up tissue on the couch. The bedding looked old. There were patched up holes through out the cabin, mostly in the bathroom. The towels were dingy and old. I refused to use them and was glad I brought my own. I stayed for one night and couldn’t wait to leave the next day. I thought I was the only one that had that experience but I was traveling with a group and they had similar disappointing experiences. We didn’t bother complaining to management as we were only staying there less than 12 hours. I really wanted to enjoy the experince but...

We have been inching across the country from Richmond, VA., on motorcycles. We left Flagstaff, AZ this morning and it was HOT. We weren't 100% sure where we were going to land. We hit rain, hail, dust and dropping temps within the 210 miles traveled. We picked Red Canyon Cabins because it was close and we were dead...road weary because of psychotic weather. I cannot give this place enough stars and praise! Situated against the backdrop of impressive red clay hills, sit these cute little cabins, each boasting a front porch with 2 chairs for morning coffee or star gazing. Our cabin has 2 queen beds, a couch, 2 chairs, a table, a desk, a small fridge and coffee maker. The space is clean. Nice pressure and hot water makes for an awesome shower. There's a washer and dryer on the property. The owners are friendly and accommodating. We've been traveling for 10 days, 2975 miles and this is, by far, the best place we've slept. If you are spending the night, or longer in Kanab, UT, don't hesitate to grab a cabin at Red Canyoun Cabins!
