Would not return nor recommend. Planned a return trip to Utah, specifically southwest, for several years. Health issues delayed trip. Finally set to go & started making reservations 7 months in advance. Needed very specific campsite set up for two campers due to the medical issues. Communicated with Ava to find the right sites, booked them and made deposit. When we arrived after three days of driving they gave one of the two away. They sent an email two days before we arrived regarding balance due to which I replied. Did not mention the change. Called me the day we were to arrive to find out the time we’d be pulling in. Again missed the opportunity to tell us about the site change. Then upon arrival tried to just slip it by us at which point we caught it. Lots of excuses all of which turned into misrepresentations. Said nothing is guaranteed (to spite their website, printed materials nor confirmation stating such anywhere. They had two days to inform us before we arrived and did not bother to tell us. In now trying to find workable campsites told us we were staying too long (7 nights yet while they offer week stay discounts) and that we had too many requirements (rv doors facing each other - to spite their standard opposite entries to pull thu’s, wanting a picnic table, fire ring, & full hook-ups-all of which are listed as standard amenities on their website for each site, shad and grass.). Majority of campground is loose gravel. Every two sites share electric hook up with one getting 30 amps and the other 50 (unbeknownst to the second sharing rv owner). Some sites get tables, fire rings and grills. Others get nothing again (or have to share with the neighbors) with their website & printed materials suggesting they all include those amenities. Restrooms were clean as was laundry area. Didn’t go into their store due to our frustration & wanting to avoid the office women so used the new Maverik across the street for ice and other purchases. The dog area & dumpster were right across from our replacement sites (33 & 34). If we had known the mess created in advance, with the two days we would have had to research, we would have stayed at the new RV park east of town on 89 or at Pink Coral Sand Dunes State Park. And to say after the fact that they weren’t aware of the extensive prior communications with Ava, was an excuse. It went through their general email (not an individual employees). They still used that email account to communicate our remaining balance. Left Crazy Horse frustrated and very...
Read moreThis is the worst RV park I've stayed in. The managers are a nightmare. They scream and yell at each other and the residents whom ask why the free internet isn't working. They'll tell you to get you're own damn internet service if you're not happy with theirs. The park is in total disrepair. The city inspector had to be called out last week because the water pipes had broken and swamped the power sources for the electrical plugs for the RVs. The bathrooms are a disgusting mess. There are hundreds of dead bugs on the floor, yes, I mean hundreds! That tells you right there they haven't cleaned that place in weeks! There are written instructions on the wall on how to flush the toilets. There are no benches in the shower stalls so you have to set your stuff on the filthy floor. There are no shower shelves so you have to set your soap, shampoo on the moldy floors. The washers and dryers in the laundry room have their motors sitting on top of the appliances. The park has no grass but plenty of weeds with sharp thorns on them. They're called goat head thorns and they are extremely painful to your dog's feet when you take your pet out for a walk. The managers are useless and don't know how to fix anything and the owners are greedy and live out of state and don't give a damn. Don't be fooled by the photos you see on their website. This place is a dump! The other two RV parks, The Hitch-n-Post and the Kanab RV park are much better places than this. I would even dry camp before pulling into this mess again. Any positive reviews have been posted by the owner's family. I recognize three...
Read moreWe chose this place because they have tent sites too, and we were meeting friends who were tent camping.
The RV park is very crowded and sites are very close together. There were trailers in our vicinity that were dilapidated and several trailers were occupied by full-time residents. The hookups are strange; our trailer and the one next to us shared the location for the utility hookups. Luckily we were on the "correct" side; if we had been in the site that our neighbor occupied we would not have able to run a sewer hose or electrical wire such a long distance.
On the plus side, the bathrooms are newly remodeled and the laundry is clean and the machines were in good working order. On the negative side, the sites are crowded and hard to get into. Also, there was garbage behind our trailer (a ratty sewer hose hanging over the fence and a bunch of plastic bags, cups, etc. in the drainage ditch) that we had to look at from our trailer. I wish that the park managers had done a better job of picking up the garbage along the perimeter. Our picnic table was old, warped and with peeling paint.
Kanab is a cool town. This is an ok trailer park. If I were in Kanab again, I would look at the other trailer parks but also would consider...
