I recently purchased a new hybrid mattress and adjustable base over the President's Day holiday. Richard H. was very knowledgeable of Mattress Firm's products and I after I explained to him what I was looking for in a mattress, he took the time to explain to me the differences amongst the many mattresses to choose from these days. He was very patient with me to ensure I chose the right mattress to fit my lifestyle and was very honest with me about getting the most bang for my buck. After having my mind set on a more expensive mattress, he suggested I try a specific one that might offer more comfort (not to mention is was about $800 cheaper) and he was right. After part of my order didn't make it onto the delivery truck, Richard made things right and sweetened the deal by discounting a couple of accessory items and personally coming to my home to deliver and assemble my new headboard so I wouldn't be inconvenienced with having to miss a couple hours work again to wait on another delivery. Richard is truly a genuine asset to Mattress Firm who again is very knowledgeable of mattress products and committed to quality customer service. I'd highly recommend this store (Richard H. in particular) for your next mattress purchase. My only area of concern is that Mattress Firm uses a 3rd party to make their deliveries and I experienced a mishap (that was in no way the fault of my salesman). Mattress Firm should strongly consider operating their own delivery service versus outsourcing it to a 3rd party as that might help eliminate delivery errors. Read moreMy husband and I recently went to Mattress Firm planning on purchasing a queen size foam mattress for our son and a king size Purple mattress for ourselves. However, the very convincing sales person showed us a floor model Intellibed mattress that was being clearanced out. In the store the king mattress was fine but after a week and a half of sleepless nights and the mattress not living up to the hype I called the store to see what my options were. It turns out that I have no options, I am stuck with the bed since it was a floor model. We were told that there would be no 120 day sleep trial but were left with the impression that we’d have 30 days. No one ever said this would be a final sale or that no returns or exchanges would be available. We do not buy mattresses often, once every 15 years, but when we spend over $2000 on one we expect it to be comfortable.
Also, regarding Mattress Firm’s sleep trial. The fine print says if you decide you don’t like the bed you’ll have to pay a 20% restocking fee plus $99 shipping to send it back to the store.
Learn from my mistakes. Don’t buy an Intellibed, they’re far to firm, shake every time your partner rolls over and the mattress is so thick that it severely limits your sheet buying options. Go with an online mattress store. Read moreI purchased a bed set on Jul 14, 2020. The delivery was scheduled for a couple of weeks later. I informed the sales agent that because my wife was disabled and in therapy that the delivery time needed to be negotiated. She said she had no control over delivery but would inquire about delivery times. The delivery date came and went and nothing was delivered. I received a call from a manager who said that someone forgot to schedule the delivery and I'd have to wait until Sept 11 to receive the beds. Again I advised the company that delivery dates and times had to be coordinated due to my wife's therapy. On Sep 10 I received a notice that the delivery would be Sep 11 between 10AM and 12PM. I called the sales agent at the store to inform her that I would be with my wife in therapy during that timeframe and asked if the delivery time could be adjusted. She said no. With that I cancelled the order. A couple of things upset me: the sales person's refusal to work on my behalf for delivery adjustment; the fact that no manager contacted me upon the cancellation of the order to find out why.
