I recently stayed two nights due to a soccer tournament. The tournament chose this hotel for us, and I wish after the room I got I would have had the option to pick my own hotel. If the tournament chooses this hotel next year I will not stay I refuse. When we arrived the front desk lady was nice and checked us in. When we got to the room we were hit with an awful moldy smoky smell. The hallway smelled better. There were stains all over the floor and furniture even the pillow case which looked like dry blood. The room was very dirty didn’t look like it was clean. The counter top had this sticky residue on it. The microwave and fridge was dirty. The shower was very hard to work, if you didn’t have muscles you weren’t taking a shower because it was hard to pull the knob to get the shower head to turn on. Water was not very warm. My son who is 10 years old refused to sleep in the bed because how dirty the room was and the pillow case. I had to put my own blankets down and over the pillow for him to sleep. I did not bring up any of these issues to the front desk because I knew she wa overwhelm and the hotel was fully booked so there were no rooms so I was basically stuck. I called as soon as I got home and requested to speak to a manager about my recent stay. They said they were busy and took my number down for a callback but no one called me back. I called two days later and spoke to a guy who said he was one of the managers and before I could tell him my experience. He said someone had already refunded my card $76 and tried to call you maybe we had the wrong number. Umm no one called and secondly why would a hotel instantly give me a refund when I haven’t talked to the about my experience. I told him the issues and he said they just took over the property and are working things out. I told him I understand that you just took it over but basic 101 you have to provide at least a clean room and he didn’t. Even the maid service came in the next day and all they did was give us new towels they still didn’t clean the room. Then he tried to negotiate. He said I’ll give you another $20. Ummm. For $350 stay wouldn’t you expect at least a clean room? Which I tried explaining to him and why I am requesting a full refund as they don’t provide what should have been provided. he got very defensive saying I was threatening him and then said he was going to take the refund back and disconnected the call. He was very unprofessional. I will be submitting a unsanitary complaint to the department of agriculture because I do not believe the place is sanitary for people to stay and the manager does not want to make things right and take in the feedback. Do not stay at this property! Do not recommend. Manager does not care about the...
Read moreI believe this hotel is under new management and that the previous owners may have failed to upkeep the location but the hotel was a disaster. The pool was closed by the Public Health Department, the AC in our first room wasn't working and the AC in the second room we were moved to was leaking. The carpeting was stained and very dirty, the rooms smelt musty and stale. The "business center" was being used for storage and the ice machine on the first floor was not working. There was no "do not disturb" sign on the door, we left the room for the day and returned to find that our garbages had been emptied and our soiled towels removed but they were not replaced and the bed was not made. It seemed odd only some of the housekeeping duties were completed and not others. The front checkin employees were somewhat helpful with our complaints in the sense they offered to move us rooms but the maintenance person was not available to inspect the AC unit and there wasn't communication or direction as employees changed over shifts. One employee mentioned that a note was placed on our registration that we were to move rooms again but when we arrived back the next employee did not convey that message to us. We did not want to be charged extra if the hotel staff thought the damages were caused by us but there was also no offer of compensation due to the inconveniences. I can appreciate the frontline employees were faced to address these challenges, many of the issues outside of their control, the employees came across like they didn't seem to care. There were no smiles or cheerful demeanor. When we arrived for the complimentary breakfast on the second morning there were complaints from other guests that the eggs/sausages weren't replenished and they had been waiting over a half hour. Once the food was replenished there were only a few of each and other guests took them quickly. We noticed that the same employee making breakfast was also running back and forth to assist (I'm assuming) another worker in the pool area. This was likely the delay for breakfast as it appeared there was not designated employees to oversee the different areas. At one point one employee from the front counter came to help in the kitchen then leaving the front counter vacant. We chose this specific location because it was central to the shopping center and were also looking forward to using the pool. To arrive and have one incident after another, after already prepaying for the room online was very...
Read moreThe staff at this property are great. From the employees at the front desk, housekeeping and the breakfast staff, they are all wonderful. The noise level at this property varies depending on the other guests at the property. For this particular stay, there were alot of children in the hallways without their parents. Sport teams are notorious for being loud and obnoxious. The good news is that the children were in their rooms by 9 pm or so and after that I heard very little talking in the hallways. The breakfast was very good. I did feel sorry for employee Louis who was the only employee there. As this property is always busy, they really need to have two employees or else the food and other supplies easily run out and I noticed on Sunday am that many guests were annoyed by the lack of items available. Also I as disappointed that there was no fruit available Sunday or Monday. Louis told me that one of the teams had been there early Sunday and they ran out. As far as my room was concerned (342), I loved being on top floor and at the end of the hallway. However, the carpet in this room really needs to be cleaned. It is stained and I chose to wear my slippers as I wasn't comfortable walking in my bare feet. Last comment would be why the property allows trucks with trailers and semi-trailers parked in the closest parking spots in front of the building. There was a semi-trailer parked across at least 6-8 spots on the back side of the building. It was there when I checked in Friday and departed Monday morning. As there was a baseball game at the stadium near the property on Friday night, the parking for guests was very limited near the back of the building due to this semi-trailer parked there all weekend. It is common courtesy for those pulling trailers or driving large trucks such as semi-trailers to park away from the building. Maybe there should be signs posted by the property owner stating this. All and all, it was another great visit to this property. My third stay since late 2021 and I really appreciate the very kind and caring staff managed by GM Royce...
