Comfort Suites Miami - Kendall — Hotel in Kendall

Reservation was for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Front desk clerk made us wait upon check in while he took several calls regarding questions/directions to the hotel. Rooms are very nice, as are the facilities on site. Pool was nice and clean and refreshing. Hot tub was clean and relaxing. Towels were stocked outside which was very convenient. I didn't have an opportunity to use the fitness center but from what I saw, the machines looked well maintained and clean. To be honest we were out of the hotel for most of the stay Really the only issues we had were with the staff... I had to check out and check back into the rooms (made separate reservations for the same rooms) and wanted to get the paper work done before bed as me and my family had came back to the rooms very late in the night and would most likely sleep through check out. Night time person was a bit rude when he said none of the paperwork could be done and that I would have to come down during checkout and take care of it then. The next day the internet was out for the hotel so this prolonged the paperwork that could've been completed the night before (according to the morning person). Wifi remained unavailable throughout the rest of our stay and we were woken up on the day of our checkout to the fire alarms going off outside. No compensation was offered for the issues with wifi or the fire alarm. Front desk person response was that wifi was free so no compensation could be offered and that the fire alarm was a test to make sure the system worked properly (Though we were never notified of a test that was going to occur at 7 in the morning). I couldn't receive a print-out of the receipt because the wifi was still out so I was emailed the receipt. Safe charge was never taken off even though I requested it...

This note is directed to my Host, Tulio Espinal at the Comfort Suites Miami/Kendall: I just want to say that now that I have stayed in one of your suites, I know the true meaning of comfort. I was one of a the vendors at the Miami Dade county Youth Fair and by the time my shift was over I was exhausted but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be pampered and catered to the way I was at the Comfort Suites Miami/Kendall location. My bed felt like I was floating on a cloud and I couldn't believe I got the choice of soft or firm pillows. The bath had just the right soaps to relax me completely before I turned in for the night. The temperature in the room was perfect. I slept so good, I almost missed breakfast and I have never seen such a spread. There was everything from waffles to hot and cold cereals; the best eggs and meat on the market and the most delicious coffee I've ever tasted I was able to take a piece of fresh fruit, vanilla cherry yogurt and a muffin for my snacks to the fair. What impressed me most of all was your giving me the decision to save my sheets for washing until after I left my stay with you. Think of the water that saved!!! Wow, I have totally changed my decision of where I will stay in the future and where I will recommend that my guests stay. I'm counting the days until I can return and have time to swim in your pool and check you out even further!! The front desk took such good care of me getting me to and from the fair in the least amount of traffic. I got too busy to bring them back an elephant ear for their troubles, but I hope you will thank them for me!!! I went here a couple months ago and was very very unsatisfied! The manager spoke with my bf and I very kindly and told us he just got there and he was going to do upgrades and fix the problems we found because we honestly felt like we had a horrible experience there besides the employees this place is not worth the experience. I do plan on complaining all the way up the chain about how the location after all this time is still not up to par. I am not usually someone that takes the time to do this but I feel it's necessary. I booked this location specifically both times because I have injuries and needed the hot tub last time they made me aware after complaining that it is broken and does not get hot! So they over compensated some how and made the pool warmer! I mean what is the point of that? But even now it's still not hot tub status. I booked it again because I needed to come to this are and had no choice but to get. Closer hotel so I figured I'd give the hotel a chance to redeem itself. Sadly, they still did not repair the hot tub! However, I was very thankful for the staff. They helped me to feel more comfortable and even though I was upset and considered quiting my choice membership they way the staff member Andrew helped me was priceless beyond means. I will be forever thankful for his assistance with this issues so once again I repeat the staff here truly is amazing most definitely Andrew at the front desk. I will also be praising him to the higher ups for his dedication to helping provide comfort at this hotel that have comfort in the title. Thanks again Andrew for your help!
