This store has the most unprofessional staff of any of their stores. Yesterday my mom and I went, when it was time to pay we noticed there were only two lines open with a bunch of people waiting with full carts. The self pay is only for 20 items or less. You look around and there are about 5 female employees just standing around doing absolutely nothing. So we ask if they’re planning on opening another line, something they’d do at Publix or other grocery stores. The girl we ask literally turned her face and walked away. So then my mom went up to another employee and brought to her attention about everyone waiting. Another employee then walks to an empty r. asked if she was going to open that line, she looks up and doesn’t answer. I then say “excuse me, is this line being opened” she just nods. By this time I’m already too upset to even address this behavior. As we are leaving, we notice the same employee who turned her face on my mom being extremely rude to a gentlemen by customer service. The gentleman kept trying to explain himself and she abruptly says “bro, I don’t get paid for this” and walks away from him. She proceeds to go up to a man that is dressed as the managers dress. It seems she was telling him what happened and he was almost ok with this. At this point I was over how unprofessional everything was and I walk up to the manager, Agustin Gómez, as I’m telling him how rude his employees have been, he jumps in to say about the other gentleman who has no relation to me “tu sabes como son la gente de esos países” meaning “you know how the people from those countries are. A completely racist comment considering the man was of middle eastern descent. I then tell him that has nothing to do with my complaint and explain how that same employee treated us. The manager says “she’s probably having a bad day.” I told him that in my life I had never seen such poor management and they’re losing good clients because of their less than satisfactory customer service and management in that store....
Read moreI'm not sure this is the biggest Winn Dixie in the state, but it has to be the biggest in Miami Dade. It could feasibly double as an aircraft hanger.
The isles are split into doubles in rows, divided by 3 corridors from front to back. Shelves overflow, corners hold pallets and displays, frozen section in 3 places, and one entire cooler wraps around the stores west wall. They have everything you can imagine. Fruits and vegetables section, huge. Hot food kitchen on premises. I would like to be able to sum it up quickly but there is no way. It's just a massive store with products off all kinds. The cheese case in the back has some interesting finds. I'm decent at describing places but this is another level, and the employees make it feel like no big deal. Place sparkles, staff walks around like a day at the park, we got this style. And they certainly do. All good experiences, staff is helpful and pleasant.
Swing by with time, it takes time to check the place out and truly peruse. I go for quick things, things which always run out first: milk, yogurt, cheese. I buy meat at other places because I trust those places for the prime and grass fed quality, but Winn Dixie has some decent sirloin steaks sometimes and good sales on ribs and chicken and chuck.
I wish it were closer to me, but it's open late (12am) so I visit. Stop by, take a look, if they don't have it chances are good you don't need...
Read moreWinn-Dixie has been my go-to supermarket for quite some time, and it never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly staff and a well-organized store layout that makes shopping easy and efficient. The produce section is always stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, and I appreciate that they offer a variety of organic options at reasonable prices.
One of the best things about Winn-Dixie is their weekly deals and rewards program. Their BOGO (Buy One, Get One Free) offers are a great way to save on essentials, and their fuel rewards program helps me cut costs at the gas pump. The deli section is another highlight – they have freshly sliced meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat meals that make lunch and dinner planning much easier.
The store is always clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked. Unlike some other supermarkets, checkout lines move quickly, and I’ve rarely had an issue with long wait times. They also have self-checkout kiosks, which are convenient for quick trips.
Overall, Winn-Dixie is a great choice for affordable groceries, fresh produce, and quality service. If you’re looking for a supermarket that values its customers and offers fantastic deals, this is the place to shop!
Highly...
