I currently go to this school and I just want to tell you my perspective…. laz is the WORST person to help .. when I’m doing a cut he will just come over and grab the clipper and won’t say anything…. Tomas the teacher comes in everyday smelling like weed and I feel like every time I ask him a question and it might be a “ simple question “ to him but to me I just simply don’t be knowing he just will look at you like your stupid.. sometimes even say something smart. he’s absolutely NO HELP he just reads the book, not only that but in class when we are reading the book he will speak Spanish and all the students that speak English will just look because it’s like he doesn’t even care to explain ANYTHING to us. for the people in the office Sofie, natayla, jasir, Luis .. don’t fall for it they will smile in your face and just talk behind your back😂 Luis puts on a picture to be a business man and you can tell it’s all just for the money it’s not for the guenuiness to teach barbering… the students here are a JOKE the ones that’s been here think they run the show.. stuck up and just like freshman vs seniors like they are to good. Then you got the students that use the school as their shop they come in and cut 90 of their clients GET PAID and then leave?? How is that even fair to anyone. by the way if you are wanting to learn to cut hair like all different types I would NOT go here .. all we cut is homeless old men and Cubans who want a 3 all around or some old haircut, the WHOLE time I have been here I have not cut one African Americans hair or any young persons hair like blowouts, tapers or any of that it’s just homeless people and it’s annoying because it’s the same ones every week so im not learning anything. 1/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL IF YOU ARE NEW...
Read moreI have to say I’ve heard many stories about barber schools and how they just throw you in there and let you figure it out making you uncomfortable by the time you leave, but let me say this, Miami barber institute is the best barbering school in Miami for a reason! They not only guide you through every haircut but they also help you invest in yourself as a barber. They talk to us about goals and opening up barbershops, how to manage clients, how to promote ourselves, I can go on forever. This school has been the best educational investment I have ever made hands down. The people here are like family it’s always a good time and everyone is always helping each other out and that’s what it’s all about in an industry like barbering! Humble instructors who are passionate about truly teaching their students and pushing them to become more than just a successful barber. I’m glad I took the opportunity and if you are someone who is interested in obtaining your barbering license then I highly suggest not to look further and come give them a visit! Last but not least haircuts are free so you’ll always have a haircut to practice and I believe hands on practice is better than watching just a demo or a...
Read more"As a graduate of Miami Barber Institute, I can confidently say that it is the best barber school in all of Florida, if not the world. The school's director provided me with all the necessary information and was extremely transparent about the goal of helping me become a licensed barber. The professors at the school are highly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the level of experience they bring to the classroom is unparalleled. Additionally, the entire staff genuinely cares about each and every student who attends the institute and wants them to not only become skilled barbers but also the future of the barber industry. In my opinion, Miami Barber Institute provides the best educational experience possible, and I truly believe this school could help anyone that wants to help...
