The Inn is a true hidden gem in Maine—a picture-perfect encapsulation of everything that makes New England so special: elegant, charming, and timeless. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family with warm cookies, chilled water, and tea. The included breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious—fresh, hot, and clearly made with care.
We chose to host our wedding elopement weekend here in October 2024, and it was the best decision we could have made. Susanne, the innkeeper, quickly became our favorite vendor to work with—by the end of the weekend, she truly felt like part of the family. She went above and beyond in every possible way to bring our wedding vision to life, all with grace, enthusiasm, and an incredible eye for detail.
Susanne’s elopement package was thoughtfully curated and absolutely perfect: a lovely cocktail hour with champagne, a stunning bridal bouquet, a boutonniere, and a beautiful wedding cake. She paid close attention to every request and absolutely nailed the bouquet I had dreamed of—it looked exactly like the inspiration photos I sent her. We asked if she could make espresso martinis for the occasion, and she learned how to make them just for us! That’s the level of care she brings to everything she does.
We invited her to witness our ceremony at the cliffs. The morning of our ceremony was windy, and Susanne, ever prepared, happened to have a white scarf in her car that saved the day, keeping me warm during the vows on the cliffs. She even lent us her camping stakes to secure our floral arrangements. When I say she thinks of everything, I mean it.
She made sure every guest felt special. My parents, visiting from the South, were treated to a lobster brunch—such a thoughtful touch that made them feel welcomed into the spirit of Maine.
The inn itself is breathtaking. Each room is unique, charming, and beautifully maintained—we had a hard time choosing our bridal suite because they were all so lovely. Since we rented out the entire inn, we got to see them all, and not a single one disappointed. The outdoor fireplace offers a cozy gathering spot with a gorgeous sunset view, and having convenient, private parking tucked behind the house was a huge plus, especially in Kennebunk.
We feel so fortunate to have found this extraordinary place and to have shared such a meaningful celebration there. Susanne has created more than just a beautiful inn—she’s made a warm, welcoming experience that radiates heart and hospitality. Whether you're visiting Maine or looking for an intimate venue to host your special event, we wholeheartedly recommend this incredible spot. 10/10—no question. We can't wait...
Read moreBeautiful property and pleasant host. Rooms were a nice size with a nice large bathroom. Little details in the rooms and around the Inn were a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable & bath towels were plush. Inn has a cash bar which seems like a nice extra but we didn’t use it. Grounds were beautifully landscaped. The Inn also provides a parking pass if you want to go to the beach.
The Inn described itself as quintessential, however there were a few things that were not perfect. First, there was only one option left when we booked. It was listed as a two room suite and was priced almost twice the rate as the other rooms. In actuality it was two separate rooms with their own baths, each with a separate key. When we checked in we were told we could “look” in the one room we weren’t going to be using, to see what it looked like. We got the impression he didn’t want us in there since we didn’t need the extra room. So we paid extra for a separate room we didn’t need or use. I do understand that he markets it as a “suite”, but he could just as easily book them separately.
Our rooms were over the garage. As the owner lives at the property, we had to listen to the garage door open and close several times during the evening, which was a bit annoying.
We were expecting a delicious breakfast as it’s a b&b. We were served Costco baked goods with one homemade item each morning. Breakfast was served buffet style, which was included in the description, which meant the food was sitting out the entire duration of breakfast and the one homemade item, a frittata one morning & blueberry pancakes the next, were cold and soggy by the time we sat down to eat. There were cereal options, some granola & individual yogart containers. And there was no breakfast meat offered.
At well over $400 a night, after taxes, I expected more and was very...

We were accommodated at the last minute by the incredibly kind and welcoming host, Suzanne, as we made our journey up the coast to Acadia National Park. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel right at home, even allowing us to check in after hours.
Our room was fantastic – spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had a great night's sleep. The room also featured a well-functioning AC unit, a fridge, a closet, a dresser, a T.V., complimentary water bottles, and a private bathroom. There was plenty of space for our suitcases, making it easy to settle in and feel at ease.
Breakfast was a highlight in the morning, with delicious, freshly prepared options that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. The B&B itself was utterly charming, full of character, and beautifully maintained.
The location couldn't have been better – just a short distance from the delightful shops, restaurants, and sightseeing spots of Kennebunkport. It was the perfect base for exploring the area.
We would highly recommend Suzanne's bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area. Thank you, Suzanne, for making our stay...
