Oh my goodness the croissants! Still dreaming about their flaky goodness!
I will echo what another reviewer said in that these croissants are out of this world, but the coffee missed the mark. I was really looking forward to having a cup of coffee and sitting outside, but the coffee was a bit warm, not piping hot, and it just wasn’t robust enough. But the croissant… I am still dreaming about these croissants! We also ordered several things to go, including some other types of pastries, but we are still talking about the croissants. We ate some croissants there; we brought some croissants with us, and even after a couple days the croissants were flaky and delicious. We would come back again just for the croissants! Gosh I feel like I used said the word ‘croissant’ more in this review than I have in a year.
Tips for going: of course, there will be a line, so just expect it. On a beautiful sunny day there are lots of scattered places to sit, but also again, there will likely be quite a few people already seated. The line moves quickly. And people are friendly enough that if you ask nicely to join their table and they have empty seats, they will certainly let you.
PS. They also had a surprisingly good...
Read moreJust moved to the state and this bakery stands out as really special! They have limited hours/days open due to staffing issues, like so many places these days, so if you're a baker who knows how to work some magic, please join their team so I can get my croissants more often! Also, I feel so much more comfortable going here than other businesses because they actually stick to and enforce their covid safety measures. They currently allow a maximum of 3 customers inside at a time and they MUST be masked. Everyone else lines up outside. I wish more businesses would do this! It makes it so much more pleasant to shop without the fear and risks involved for an at-risk pregnant woman with an immunocompromised husband. Thank you, Boulangeries! Finally, and most importantly, their baked goods are sooo delicious! I love their savory croissants (ham and cheese or the cream cheese and chive) and veggie quiche the most! We always leave with a small loaf of sourdough, as well, and use it for some amazing sandwiches, then the heels for dipping in fresh soup the next day. I hope this place continues to do well because they are a quality...
Read moreIf I could have given it zero stars I would. Number one, the staff is completely unprofessional and rude. Second, their bakery goods are stale and overpriced. I brought my elderly Alzheimer's patient in, just for her to have a baked good and some sense of normalcy, and the girl behind the counter treated her like she was a nuisance. Yes, she drools, she can't help it, yes, she makes noise, but she can't help it. She had a stroke and can't control one half of her body, but to look at her in disgust, and obviously trying to rush us out was SO unprofessional! So don't bring your disabled or ederly guest in with you, because the girl behind the counter clearly has an issue and zero tolerance for people that aren't like her. Never will I go here again, nor will I recommend it to anybody....
