I was recently graced with the kindness of this local restaurant/bar 'The Catch' with the atmosphere of both, Indoor and outdoor dining, there to suit your needs and comfort, with a very Keezy kind of feeling, very tropical and lslandy, decor... along with a Friendly and helpful staff. I was invited out of the blue, by another local I had Just met, which made me feel welcomed, to join her at the bar around 5pm Sat. for a "Customer Appreciation" gathering, for a "Free" buffet Hawaiian/Cuban Style Luau They served delicious roasted pig, black beans n' rice, fried plantains and an unique Hawaiian potatoe/macaroni salad combination, that I thought was the best tasting I've had only 2nd to My Mother's and that says alot. I am Not saying that this was anything similar to their regular menu items. But I felt it was a very generous statement to the community in general. And if this is how they treated their guest, just to Thank us all. I have No reason other than to think they would put as much effort and time into their food and menu on any other given regular day. Not to mention the very potent 'Jello Shots' they passed around also courtesy on the house. There were colorful festive leis and green grass hola skirts for everyone to wear to join in the festivities, along with all the locals that were also dressed in silly/playful let's say Keys style garb. It was loud with banter and excitement...All in All, it was a happy atmosphere with many smiles across the board... We would all like to Thank "THE CATCH"... For Thanking all of us in their success, as one of our newer Restaurant to join Key Largo Cuisine lndustry. And speaking for the Community....We Wish them the Best of Luck and Prosperity as they continue to serve us All with such Welcoming, Warmth and Exuberance!.... Pip-Pip hurrah!! for 'The...

Such a bad experience, we were treat as a piece of nothing even tho we were paying with the same money as everyone else, let me tell you our story, we went to key largo for a vacation and we went there to have lunch and my friend was watching a video in her phone when suddenly another customer from another table just turn around and asked her to low the volume with a bad attitude he claimed that due the video was in Spanish it was disturbing his conversation then he asked to the owner and the owner just listened to him and asked us to turn off the phone and she also did it with a bad attitude after that she said that the restaurant give priority to the locals later when the food arrived right after everyone was eating she brought the 2nd appetizer that we ordered but I didn’t want it anymore she almost forced us to take it, she said that we had to take it and pay it because we ordered but I said no and she turned around and walked away and I could heard her saying “that’s why” and she offered the dish to the other table (the one that complained) for free any ways I felt so bad and nervous because of the racism in that place I wouldn’t never come back, for sure, I can’t believe that still exist places like that in this country I have never had this kind of experience before and I wouldn’t never recommended to...

We came without any expectations, and not reading the reviews. The food was very good. This place is a gem.

We ordered Seafood platter- the smoked fish dip was the winner. Coconut shrimp & Conch Fritters- had to get an individual order after tasting them in the platter. Lobster and Crab cakes- Cooked to perfection, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside with being cooked on the skillet. Nashville Chicken Tenders- If you have tried the Nashville tenders, then this is a must try. As close as you can get in terms of the consistency and the spice (ask for extra spicy). Clam Chowder Soup- right consistency, and good balanced flavors with enough clam meat (little rubbery).

Aztec Mahi- very good flavor, but was a little salty. Sandwiches- We tried the Mahi Mahi sandwich as it was the catch of the day. Rightly seasoned, and blackened as it needs to be. Nashville Chicken Sandwich- If you are not a seafood person, then this will save you.

Food- 4.6/5 Ambience- 4.5/5 Service- 4.6/5

If you are on the way to Key-west and need to make a stop, you wouldn’t...

Stopped by for dinner during a trip to the keys and hit the jackpot! The wait staff was friendly and welcoming. It was obvious it was a favorite or locals with many repeat customers as many customers were greeted warmly and with hugs. The bar area was quite full with a local musician playing for the crowd. Our waitress was very helpful as we debated several food options. We had the fish dip which was devoured before we could take a photo. For entrees we had the whole fried snapper and mahi tacos. Both were excellent. The fish was fresh and flavorful. Tacos were also excellent with a spicy crème sauce. Although we were stuffed, the waitress talked us in to a slice of house made key lime pie and chocolate peanut butter pie. Both were flavorful but the peanut butter pie = amazing! Would definitely return during a future visit to the keys!

The mozzarella sticks at The Catch were hands-down the best I’ve ever had — crunchy, creamy, and clearly homemade. I didn’t even know that mozzarella sticks could be this good! The marinara was so addictive we started dipping our sweet potato fries in it! We also ordered coconut shrimp tacos (not even sure if they’re on the menu) and they were absolutely delicious — sweet, crispy, and perfectly balanced. Super loaded with fresh ingredients too! The Godfather Mahi was another highlight: light, fresh, and served over warm, creamy spinach. Cozy and comforting. A true hidden gem in Key Largo. I’ll definitely be back!! We got our order to-go, but the restaurant looks like a cute family owned business. I’ll probably come for dine-in service next for the whole experience :)

The most terrible experience. As soon as we got in, my son and I, the lady asked us to step out of the way when at first I asked for take out. When I reacted to her, politely by the way, she told us to sit and wait. I ordered the stuffed mahi, $25 with a side of fries and another of steamed veggies, total of $30. See the picture and judge, the fish with the stuffing, on top, tasted horribly and the fries were hard, the little cup were the veggies. The lady that cleans the tables was incredibly more professional and attentive than the rest of the waitresses. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
