Dolphin Point Villas — Hotel in Key Largo

My husband and I got married at Dolphin Point Villas on April 29, 2023. We secured a full property buyout for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was an AMAZING weekend. It was so wonderful having almost all of our wedding guests on the property with us. Everyone should experience a weekend like that! It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be surrounded by friends and family just a few feet away in any direction. The rooms/houses were so spacious! We had over 40 guests staying at Dolphin Point Villas with us and you could hardly tell we had that number. It truly felt like we had our own oasis for the entire weekend. Even in the "bridal suite," when we had multiple vendors coming and going, there was more than enough room to spread out and enjoy the day.

In addition to the immaculate space, working with the Dolphin Point Villas staff was effortless from beginning to end. Katie, their General Manager, helped us secure funds from our guests for the rooms and sent us regular updates. That was the piece we were most worried about, and it ended up being so easy with their help. Their entire staff was amazing all weekend long. They were courteous and SO helpful. One of their maintenance managers, Cash, was the highlight of the weekend and truly an MVP. He helped every guest at one point or another. Whether carrying heavy items, assisting in clean up, carting us around the property when needed, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better support team behind the scenes.

From the moment we checked in, everything seemed to fall into place perfectly. All of our guests had a smooth check-in, and we were able to go right into our rehearsal dinner on Friday night. We hosted all our wedding weekend events on-site at Dolphin Point Villas, and it all worked out so well. We had a beautiful view of the sunset every night throughout the weekend. Our guests raved about the property, and by checkout time, almost everyone was talking about when they could return. We will definitely be booking all future anniversary trips to stay at Dolphin Point Villas. It is such a special space, and we can't wait to relive the memories there in the future.

It's a mixed bag. The 'free' dolphin show is just watching other people with the dolphins. The property is beautiful. Some people have complained about noise from the road but that hasn't been an issue for us. The disclaimer lays out particular circumstances for which they will charge a $500 deposit. But be aware that everyone gets charged the deposit. The bed in our suite is old and soft. We didn't have any problem accessing the water use devices, and enjoyed kayaking around their Marina. We had entitled noisy people around and above us in their Villa. Be aware that the walls and ceilings / floors are very thin and you can hear everything from everyone in the connecting villa and suite. There were people smoking in non-designated areas. Management was very concerned about the young man fishing in the marina but did not seem concerned about the smoking or the noise. There isn't enough hot water for all four of us to shower consecutively. Be prepared to have about one-and-a-half people be able to shower. They had free dolphin plushies for the kids when we arrive so that was a plus. There are great personal touches like a USB charging port and all light switches are labeled. The televisions...

We chose Dolphin Point Villas as the venue of our wedding and rented the whole place for family and friends. The rooms are so spacious and beautiful. The view was incredible. Our boat was steps from our room.

The service was impeccable. Katie, the manager, took such great care of us and at the last minute when it looked like rain on the wedding day she helped me call to secure a tent out of the graciousness of her heart. She did not have to do that. The gentleman, Cash, who works on property was so helpful and kind. He gave my grandma rides on the golf cart and made her laugh and feel comfortable the whole way. Our whole family knew his name by the time they left and gave compliments on his “service with a giggle”. On the first night at 2:30 am we realized we didn’t have blankets for someone sleeping on a pull out couch, I called night security and by the time I made it to the stairs of our villa they were walking up to deliver as many as I wanted.
