The location of the hotel is great, and the room size is adequate. The breakfast is good. However, there are some negative aspects. The heating system wasn't working properly. On the first night, we had to try to sleep with a noisy electric fan. Given that the outside temperature was -18°C, it's unacceptable for the heating in the hotel room to not be working properly. The hotel management, who thinks that the electric fan solves the heating issue, doesn't seem to care about the noise from the fan. So, you'll either have to sleep through it or freeze. On the second night of our stay at the hotel, the main heater in the room had started working, but the one in the bathroom was still not functioning. As you might have guessed, the solution offered by the management was... using an electric fan. Hotel staff was polite enough and helpful, though. The rooms are quite old. The furniture, especially table lamps in the room mismatched, as if gathered from here and there. Having a window in the room that you can open was nice. The sheets looked clean, but the unpleasant stains on the table lamps and the dirt on the windows were noticeable. I chose this hotel based on reviews comparing it to the three others in the area, but honestly, I will try the other...
Read moreI just returned from a 3 night stay with a group of adult friends. This is our 7th year skiing Killington together and we had to choose a new location to stay at this year because the motel we used before was sold and no longer available. The owners of the motel we previously stayed at highly recommended Mountain Sports Inn. After my first call with Jennie at MSI, I felt that she and the staff would do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable....and they did not disappoint. Between us we had a Suite, Premium Rooms, and Standard Rooms. Everyone was pleased with the size of the rooms as well as the comfort. The rooms were clean and the water was hot. The full breakfast ended before our arrival, but MSI provided a continental breakfast during our stay that was excellent. There is a dining area along with an adjoining sitting area where we would gather in the evening and share our stories of the day. I did not have the chance to experience the hot tub or the sauna, but those that did stated they were good. MSI is conveniently located on Killington Rd. Again, the Staff at MSI made sure we enjoyed our stay. We already have informed MSI that we will be...
Read moreWe stayed here for a couple nights while spending a long weekend in New Hampshire. The place was decent, but started off on the wrong foot . When we got to our room, I had to go number 1. Well, when I lifted the seat, I noticed a stain towards the front on the underside. I thought it was old and permanent, but to my surprise, it wiped right off. In retrospect, that is when I realized that it was not cleaned real well and a female with feminine issues must have been the last one to use it before me. Gross. Unfortunately, you get one chance to make a first impression, and this was not good. I was also thoroughly disinterested in getting into it with the staff, especially since it was now wiped off. We moved on from there and besides that initial issue, there were no other problems. The person that cleaned the room before we arrived clearly failed us, but the rest of the staff was cordial, seemed to work hard, and we liked the continental breakfast. This place is conveniently located to where we wanted to be and the price was relatively reasonable. The...
