Absolutely horrible. My friends and I ordered takeout and the person on the phone said it would be 2 hours which we were fine with. 4 hours later and we are still waiting for our food after they refused to answer any of our phone calls or communicate with us at all on if and when the food was coming. Finally, 4.5 hours later the food comes, pizza tasted like cardboard. No accommodation was offered. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a pizzeria.
In reply to the owners comment: you're right, I misspoke and wrote "takeout" but meant delivery. Had you guys communicated with us or answered one of the many phone calls we made trying to reach you, we would have absolutely picked up the order or at least cancelled it since many other businesses had delivered numerous times to our hotel without any issues. The problem remains that we did wait over 4 hours for our order, so your records are not quite accurate. When the delivery boy called his boss, he said "it's on us" then proceeded to pack everything up and leave with it which left us confused. We ended up paying for two pizzas because a few of my friends did not eat all day. Accommodations weren't even necessary but could have been offered when the boss was on the phone, but they weren't. It is fine, we had another place get to us in 40 minutes from when we called who were nice enough to stay open when they heard we were ongoing a 4 hour wait from ipie pizzeria. Thank you...
Read moreI ate pizza at all sorts of places from Manhattan's high end restaurants to Brooklyn's hole in the wall tasty diners. Let me tell you, Ipie is still my favorite pizzeria in the whole world, it's that good. They got a great variety of pies from pizza classics to perfect veggie and meat options and you can tell they use high quality ingredients and maybe a secret Italian recipe. Probably why their pizzas taste so yummy! You also gotta try their garlic knots and chicken wings.
They also got a very cozy dining area and very friendly staff but there is one thing you should watch out for, they get so busy on holidays and peak hours due to high demand! So especially on holidays, you might wanna order in the off-peak hours or rather before the evening kicks in, if you don't want to wait too long.
Overall, I think this place is a Godsent for Killington, a diamond in the rough or perfect Italian Pizzeria in the woods...
Read moreFood was good; ordered a couple slices already made, and they heated them up in the oven, nice touch. (Liked it so much, I ended up ordering a third, in fact.)
But the service was pretty chaotic. Front counter staff did not communicate with each other, and with a couple of our orders there were pricing inconsistencies -- my friend charged about $5 more, and my order came in $3 less than it should have.
And when I ordered my third slice, which was sitting right there in the warmer, there was a delay to begin with in acting on it, and when I asked about the status they ended up making a fresh slice instead. I didn't really mind, honestly, but I got the impression the left hand wasn't talking to the right one.
I think we would return for the food, but would likely give another place or two...
