Visited today for a head to toe indulgence. I highly recommend Charlene as she was very friendly and knowlegible about the services that I received. I was impressed with my massage and facial and rate Charlene 5 stars. However my nail technician made my experience at the end very disappointing. After spending 6 hours at this spa I left mad and humiliated by my nail technician. Several times she told me to pull my mask over my nose as it was sliding down during my Medicare and pedicure. It is hard to adjust your mask when your nails are wet. Then we I went to leave I was several feet from her when I was going out the door and she said loud voice that it was Vermont law to have mask on at,all times. I have COPD and was having trouble breathing. Moral to the story don't use their nail technician if you don't like the repetitive covid police. She ruined my day at the spa that was very costly and I was so looking forward to this day. The girl at the front desk was excellent and so great when she answered all my questions before I arrived at the spa. What was to be an amazing pampered princess day at the spa ended in tears and I wish I never went as that one bad apple ruined my day . After I left I called back and told the front desk to take my generous tip to the nail technician and gve it to Charlene as she deserves it. Of course i tipped both parties first as this is usual procedure before nails are painted and i realize the covid police didn't start to bully me to after the tip was payed. If your so scared of covid guit or hire an assistant to hover over your client to adjust their mask if it slips off their nose...
Read moreI came with my friend for a birthday getaway. The actual massages that we each received were great. However, the facility, and specifically the women's locker room were less than desirable. There was a very limited amount of toiletries in the locker room area, example - no shower caps, hair combs, mouthwash, etc. The showers are in need of an upgrade, and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers that were attached to the wall of the shower were drug store quality. We were each given one towel and a robe upon arrival, and we were given a second towel when we asked for it. When I asked for a third towel (I wanted to shower pre- massage, use the pool + steam room after the massage and then take another shower), the receptionist was not friendly and told me it would be an additional fee for more towels (she did not end up charging me, but there was no mention of this fee when I checked in). I have been to many spas in all different locations, and I have never been told that there is a limit of towels per guest. The pool, steam room and sauna were all very relaxing, however, the less than desirable women's locker room did not enhance the day. The music in the spa was instrumental upbeat guitar style music, rather than the typical spa music. If you are looking for a luxurious, relaxing spa day, this is...
Read moremy girlfriends and I went here on a ski trip to Killington to enjoy and relax. We each booked a 50 minute massage and planned to enjoy the pool/ hot tub and sauna as well. It was by far the most disappointing spa experience all three of us have ever experienced. Our massage therapists were all different, and none of them were deep tissue as requested. It seemed as though they may have been new graduates, as the massage therapists were so lovely but their techniques were lacking in flow and deep pressure work. However, that could have been completely over looked if we had had a better experience with the front desk woman. She was extremely rude, aggressive and frankly made the entire energy very stressful. She consistently made rude passive aggressive comments that made all of us feel unwelcomed and rushed. We will not be returning on our yearly ski trips and will look elsewhere. What an unfortunate way to spend our time and a great deal of money for a...
