This motel, unfortunately, suffers from a current roach infestation along with possibly having bed bugs as well. I'll find myself itchy urging to scratch randomly at various places on my body, discovering itchy bite-like bumps resembling something that a spider or tiny mosquito would leave behind.
The lock on the door is busted, and the window is boarded shut with thin ply wood, allowing cold winter air to sneak inside. Walls are in desperate need of scrubbing, and the furniture is outdated, graffiti engraved into the wood. Zero chairs at the table or anywhere in the room for sitting. The bed has completely caved, sinking to the ground. Dresser drawers do not open/close on demand, needing to address much needed force to use. Awful DIY patch job on the door. Vent covers are dangling off the ceiling about to fall from all the dirt + dust weighing it down, huge safety hazard, alongside with the ancient smoke detector not working, which is also ancient. Old appliances are used as decorations for the hallways/walkways that welcome you to your room before entering! High crime area, located on Colfax. Known for its high homeless rate, prositution, drug-dealing, and retail & auto theft!
Pros: New owners/management, very friendly & process your check-in quickly Location is close to downtown, bus + train within a few minutes walking Shopping/Restaurants/Grocery/Liquor ACROSS THE STREET
Fact: Colorado is #1 in The Nation for vehicle theft! Keep doors locked at all times, inside & outside of your vehicle, purchase a dash cam if possible! Laws against idling your vehicle "Puffing" is prohibited! New laws in effect as of January 2025, no cellphone use while driving allowed! Hands-Free Devices & Law Enforcement are Exempt! STAY...
Read moreIt looks nicer than a lot of the hotels I'm used to staying at up and down Colfax and the front desk lady is in the middle for me can't really say that she is overally happy and excited you're here but not overly upset The rooms are decent size but did notice some dead cockroaches in the bathroom in the corner was made a little an easy for me to sleep in the room having really touched the bed but it looks to me like whatever room I made has a king size bed could use some updating in the rooms to the ceilings and the curtains and the linens are a bit dated comes with the mini fridge in a microwave so it gives off the extended stay vibe all in all in my opinion not bad it's not the worst I've ever seen but it's not the best. They do sell some stuff for travel in the office if you forgot it and it's all pretty much priced at a dollar so if you forgot some shampoo or some razors I mean it's not very many hotels or motels have an option like that.
Try to my previous review My toilet in my room does not flush at all It just spins in a circle let the front desk know they never sent maintenance My keypad on my door keeps deactivating my keys so I keep having to go to the office to get a new key made I just don't know what's going on I know that there's some staff on hand that are really nice and then some staff who live on property that very much take advantage of that fact but overall I have tonight which is Sunday and then Monday night and I'm out Tuesday morning and I'm not impressed I guess it's a good thing that it's...
Read moreI am currently a guest in room 242 and am extremely dissatisfied with the actions of an employee here . The first issue was when I called last night to check if there was vacancies the man who answered first told me yes and then proceed to hang up on me before I got the chance to say anything else. I called back to ask what the rate was and once again was hung up on immediately after the question was answered. I was told 79$. When I arrived to check in the man charged me 89$. Not a big deal, bit after han ding the monew and receiving chan be and a single room key (even thought there are 2 of us) he immediately turned to the next. Then at 11 this morning we decided to book another night, went to the desk, paid, and returned to the room. Over anhour later the man from last night was sweepingthe walkway by our door. I was outside smoking a cigarette and had left the door slightly cracked rather than bring my key. My partner was inthe room laying in bed in only his underwear. The man looked at meandsaid "you pay or you leave" and then began entering the room without knocking. I replied "we paid over anhour ago" he continued into the room without permission and proceeded to pick up the phone, call the front desk, and ask if I had paid. I assume he was told yes because he then left, failing to even apologize for his actions and invasion of...
