It is not that I dislike the place. The food wasn't really all that. In fact, I believe that the quality of the taco meat made me sick. I suppose there's a reason why the beef tacos are only $0.93 a piece. The chicken tacos were $2.80 a piece, something like that. The young lady that that I dealt with while making/placing my order was pleasant and nice. That does not change the fact that it took me 30 to 40 minutes to get my four taco order. The amount of time that I had to wait for my food did not make me feel like a customer that was appreciated. Especially when I noticed that there were people being served that came in and ordered after me. I was just some single man who ordered 4 tacos. The people that came in after me were families and they ordered more food.I suppose they could afford to lose my business; but not the family's. Thats probably why they got their food before I got mine. One would have thought that 4 beef tacos should have been easy to throw together. Taco shells, beef, cheese, tomato and maybe some lettuce. When they finally did make it; I saw them just throw it together real fast. they realized finally that I had been waiting for quite a while. summarize::: I personally will not go out of my way to eat at this place. Most likely I go out of my way to not eat at this place. Anyway make your own mind up. I've only had one experience at this place and that was it. Not the greatest first impression. Will I give them a second chance? The answer is of course. First impressions are not...
Read moreI have enjoyed coming to Taco Houses, in several locations in Lakewood, Denver, & our metropolis since 1977, when it was founded. The granddaughter and her husband own these two. They serve a rather large variety of foods at good prices, that have their own tastes, with both a salsas and a hot sauce, a red chili and a green chile, assorted dinner combinations, and many alacart items. None of the beans, rice, or other dishes have much salt. Only the green chili has too much fat, but a good group of tasty ingredients, with a bit of hotness. The other selections are all mild. Have you heard of Burradas? They make a burrada- which is their burrito with beef and beans, or just refried beans, covered with enchalada sauce. The burritos can be served plain, smothered green or red chili with or without lettuce or cheese. The cheese enchaladas can be served with or without minced onions, inside, outside, a little or a lot. We love the friends and family atmosphere, and enjoy the children who are welcome to have the same pleasant food and friendly atmosphere the parents do.
