Garnet is one of the most amazing humans, and gifted teachers I've ever had the good fortune of spending time with. Yes, it was tricky to get started as throwing on the wheel is not the instructors were patient and kind and pushed me just enough so I felt motivated and encouraged.
From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The studio is beautifully decorated, showcasing stunning pieces created by both the staff and local artists.
The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about pottery. They provide excellent guidance, whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience. I appreciated how they took the time to explain different techniques and encouraged everyone to express their creativity.
The hands-on experience was both fun and therapeutic. I loved getting my hands dirty while learning to throw clay on the wheel. The studio is well-equipped with high-quality materials, and the variety of classes offered ensures there’s something for everyone.
I also enjoyed the community vibe—everyone was friendly and supportive, making it easy to connect with fellow pottery enthusiasts. The end result? A beautiful piece of art that I can proudly display in my home.

Read moreGlazed Ceramics Studio is where I learned to work with clay. I went to one of the single night classes with Garnet to try it out first and then stayed for a 6-week handbuilding class with Reya and two 6-week wheel classes with Evey. The classes were the most amazing experience, and I learned so much. The instructors are patient and so skilled! I had never worked with a wheel before starting at Glazed and now it is something I look forward to every week.
I currently have a studio membership. It is really nice that there is so much space dedicated to the glazing and hand building area, so that you have the elbow room to add lots of detail to your projects.
Glazed is such a welcoming and inclusive environment. People are always trading tips/tricks, and everyone is very kind. It is a great place for anyone of any...
Read moreI love this little studio. I will say though as a beginner, while the instructor Patsy it’s kind, I don’t feel like she’s great as an instructor. I feel like I’m lacking structure and instruction in her wheel class. It’s more of a free-form, do as you please and watch me quietly construct this piece of potty without clear instruction. She doesn’t quite command the room.
I definitely need to heavily supplement the class with YouTube videos which kind of defeats the purpose of me taking the class to begin with. I do hear that other instructors are better but I selected this one because the time slot fits my schedule. It’d be nice to get more from Patsy if possible.
Otherwise the studio itself is great...
