Gardner's Mattress & More — Hotel in Lancaster

A friend referred me to Gardner’s Mattress & More and am so glad she did. We walked in with a sale flyer from a big chain store with a banging sale on Tempurpedic mattresses. Little did we know that these stores mark up the price of the mattresses substantially and then have an occasional “big sale” in which the sale price then becomes the standard price Tempurpedic sets on all the mattresses. Gardner’s always sells their Tempurpedic mattresses at price Tempurpedic sets so it is always the “big chain sale price”. They also give you $200 spending dollars which covered their $50 delivery free and a special mattress cover that is recommended for these mattresses thus getting free delivery like the sale flyer from the big chain store. And the great, personable service did not end. The mattress arrived at their store well within the time frame they said it would and they didn’t dilly dally scheduling the delivery in turn (it came in late in the afternoon and the delivery was set for the next day within a 2 hour time frame). In our case the prior delivery had an unforeseen holdup and the delivery person called way ahead of my time frame of delivery deeply apologetic as they knew they would make our 2 hour window. Their professionalism in their sincerity with their apologizes was very commendable. They in turn updated me 2 more times to keep me updated of their ETA. When they arrived they were so apologetic again. I was amazed at how quickly they worked to set up the bed frame, box spring and mattress and go over the details on what to expect from this new mattress. I in turn will highly recommend Gardner’s to my friends. The last experience in buying a twin sized mattress from a big chain mattress company was a disaster in my eyes and don’t know how they are still in business. First off, the salesperson seemed agitated that he had a customer to wait on. We were in to purchase a bed that was in-stock so we could take with us. To my surprise the salesperson told us he was not allowed to touch the mattress we just purchased and he would have to take us back to the storage room, show us which mattress we purchased and load it ourselves. I was in total shock. It felt rather awkward wondering through their back stockroom to get to our mattress and load while the salesperson held the back door for us. With Gardner’s we had already received an email when we got home welcoming us to the Gardner’s family and information on “You have your receipt, now what?” with great detail of what to expect time wise with our order and detailed deliver information with our sales person contact number should we have further questions. It was a totally awesome and professional experience from John, our very informative and pleasant salesman, to the two delivery personnel that were just as informative, pleasant and professional (and quick – they were in and out of our home in less than 30 minutes on a job...

🤩 Let me start by saying Drew, the sales manager, was really great to work with! It was one of the best big purchase experiences I've had. I would recommend others to come here who are looking for a stress & pressure free experience. Plus, they donate foods & beds to local charities!

💤 I needed a new mattress because my current is old & in need of replacing. I also have a lot of health issues, including chronic pain & chemical sensitivity, which is how I found this store via Google. My mom came to help & we were pleasantly greeted upon entering. Drew asked if we were just looking or needing to replace, what the needs were, and if we had any ideas &/or budget in mind. After discussing some of my issues, he showed us the harvest all organic mattresses & discussed a higher price point natural mattress, but noted its not completely chemical free. We also got to test them out along with pillows that we came back later to try as we had forgotten to ask originally.

💬 We did not feel pressured to go with the more expensive option. Drew left us to discuss if we wanted to purchase or look at other stores and hash out things about the purchase. We ended up deciding to purchase the organic mattress & several organic pillows. The body pillow we were able to leave with as it hadn't been selling, but I like a good body pillow for extra back support because it runs the length of the bed.

❓️He answered all our questions, was honest & upfront, & even recommended some things to keep in mind & think about. He even gave us information on things we hadn't asked but were good to know. For instance the fact that it's better to go with a little bigger size pillow protector as they tend to eventually shrink.

🛌 Everything has been stress free so far in our transaction/purchase & experience with the store & Drew handling the order. Also, if you get a chance, take a look at their SLEEP BETTER book. It has a lot of info & things to think about when going into the purchase of a new bed. I wish I had it before I went googling, it would've saved...

For more than a year now, my wife and I have been sleeping on a pure latex bliss mattress from Gardner's Mattress and More. Both the mattress and the service from Ben and his staff have been outstanding beyond our wildest dreams. All our lives we have slept on inner spring mattresses which had to be flipped and turned periodically, and still developed indents until we finally got tired of sleeping in discomfort and bought a new one, always feeling as if we had paid too much for the number of good years it served us. For a while we went through the water bed phase, before going back to whatever was billed as the latest and greatest in the inner spring world. Still, we always suffered through a couple of years of realizing our mattress was not performing as we would like before finally giving in and buying a new one. When my wife was almost drawn in by the heavy sales pitch of one of those air bladder mattress salesmen, I said "Wait, and let me do some research on the web about what is the best mattress available". It was then that we learned about the Pure Latex Bliss and found that Gardner's was the only place around that sold them and had a staff that seemed to know a lot about them. Realizing that you have to try it out before making a decision, we visited Gardner's and were blown away by how great the mattresses was and how Ben and his staff go out of there way to help you see all of the considerations, and make the best choice for your desires and budget. We nicknamed our bed "The Heavenly Cloud", as it is more comfortable than we ever thought a bed could be, and know that it will probably outlast us! When you consider how long these beds last and provide superior comfort, it is well worth spending more than you would for the old fashioned type of bed to sleep in unbelievable comfort for decades rather than just years. It's also comforting to purchase one from a store that still has that displays the old type of "Mom and Pop" store service that made...
