I have been working with Mark Mauer for the last 18 months. I first met Mark with my girlfriend (who lives in Lititz, PA) when she was getting a charm I gave her placed on her charm bracelet. She goes to him consistently for any work she needs done on her existing jewelry.
Mark and I later met as I was selling some gold pieces. He was detailed, transparent and awesome to deal with in those transactions. A few months later, I went to Mark to discuss getting an engagement ring. He was fabulous. I have never had a jeweler take as much time to educate me on diamonds and really care about my requirements for the stone. Mark worked hard to find me the perfect stone (a 3.5 carat diamond) and find it he did. He found the stone and put together an incredible, one-of-a-kind ring for me which I gave to my fiancé on December 9th of this year. That ring is as stunning as she is!
Mark Mauer and his team are the very best at what they do, and I do not trust any other jeweler to the level that I trust Mark. I happily drive 2 hours (one way) so I can work with them. I will refer my friends to him when they are looking for the finest quality jewelry at a fair and transparent price. They will make the drive as I do to work with a master jeweler like Mark.
Regardless of your needs or your budget, I would highly recommend Mark and his team as a group of folks you can trust, who will listen to you needs and work to find you the best jewelry for your occasion.

There were no stainless steel Rolexes to be had at the Authorized Dealer in Philadelphia, so I said I'd look in Lancaster. To my surprise, I found a new Explorer in the display case at Vanscoy, Maurer & Bash! Turned out that my sister wouldn't have the time to drive up before the weekend, so I ended up buying my BIL's watch, with the intention of her paying me back on delivery. Win-win if you ask me; I get the points on my card and if she flaked on paying me, I keep the Rolex that I was planning on buying soon anyway.
Buying from a local family owned business was a pleasure. I was being helped by Holly, who expertly answered all my questions about some of the watches I was unfamiliar with (two-toned Daytona and Yachtmaster). While I was looking at the selection available, Mr. Maurer and Mr. Bash both came over to say hello and thank me for coming in. My only other luxury watch buying experience has been in large AD's in big cities, so chatting with the owners was a surprise for me.

Read moreI want to say that I am very pleased with the work that was done, but I am giving a 3 star review due to the experience that I had with picking up the ring. I was told 7-10 days for the ring to be ready. I waited the 10 days and called. I was then told that the estimated time was 4 days later, making the actual time 2 weeks for the ring to be ready. On the day of two weeks I did not receive a phone call to pick up the ring. I then had to call the following business day and I was told the ring was finished that day and I could pick it up before they closed. I understand that things often take longer then estimated and honestly I appreciate the time taken in something as important and as expensive as jewelry, my issue is the lack of communication that I had to deal with. I was not informed the ring would take longer and the only way I found out this information was to call and check to make sure. It raised concern that maybe something had happened to the ring or there was an issue.
