From the minute we walked into the resort we were welcomed like family. The staff were very attentive and went the extra mile to place us in a room that met every expectation.||The resort was very clean and the apartment that we stayed in was light, spacious, and met every requirement. The rooms were large with a double width balcony (wider than we have experienced in other resorts). There was easily enough room for 4 large full length sunbeds (although I believe 2 are supplied as standard with two small coffee tables and 4 chairs)||The separate bedroom had not only a king size bed but a queen size sofa bed. Both the bedroom and the lounge had TV. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a microwave, cooker, dishwashing machine etc. We could have come straight from home with a toothbrush and clothes and everything else was supplied.||The resort is on the beach and beach chairs are supplied along with sun umbrellas. The staff are also happy to suggest restaurants and help where needed.||It is possible to walk to both Publix supermarket and also to the strip of shops and bars, although it is preferable to either use the bus service, taxi or drive. There is plenty of parking on the resort although it is essential to obtain a parking permit from reception. There is plenty to do on the resort including tennis, mini golf, shuffleboard, and bbq options. There is also a lovely swimming pool that is warm. Equally their is the beach. ||Pompano has plenty of bars and restaurants and their are some lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance for those who are able at Lauderdale by the Seam it is also well located for travelling to other parts of Florida.||All in all, this is a great, friendly and helpful resort, with staff who look to ensure that patrons are...

AUGUST 1984-2022
I had the great pleasure of being born into these waters. The pool and the ocean were where I learned to swim. I was baptized right down the road at the place where my Mom and Dad were married.
Our family didn't always have the most money to spend, so this was the best place. It's a safe place for families, and has nice grocery stores right down the road should one like to buy groceries and cook in the kitchen or on the grills located outside. There are also nice piers nearby within walking distance. Free trolley will take you around the loop should you like to see the public beaches. There are also fun rentals nearby should you like to boat, surf, or play other FUN ocean games.
It is still currently located on a private ocean.
They had to undergo a 40-year review recently and passed the test with multiple updates.
SAFTEY NOTES: AGAIN FOR EMPHASIS: It's a private ocean. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. One of my Uncles was 2nd place runner-up for Firefighter of the year for his excellent display of bravery and courage off-duty to save a drowning man who was trying to save his little girl. I was very fortunate to have been trained by him. If you're unsure of the ocean (and especially with children in tow), it's highly recommended to not go out too far and never past the buoys.
The ocean will always win in a treading contest. She will take you under.
NOT PICTURED: Family. Because I don't like to post pictures...
Read moreHorrible Place to Stay. Staff including Maintenance George is not what I was expecting on my bday week. They gave me 2 sets of keys and 1 didn't work and they have no staff past 6PM on day of check in. I had my bday Party and came back late with some fam friends and cake and food to find out that the key didn't work and was locked out for 2hrs. I called the staff George and he made me feel so little and belittled me as if I didn't know how to properly use a key nor follow check in instructions. Then the dish washer was broken and had molded water in it for awhile but I didn't attempt to use it for a few days. I had been coughing a few time entering the kitchen but chucked it to fall allergies but opened dish water stale water and the funk of a million yrs. Needles to say I will never stay there again. And piece fell off sliding door. Ohh and the microwave vent piece fell off after 1st use. I reported to staff in morning and no one should to do repairs till 2 dats later after a prompted 2and call. There was no jacuzzi as described nor they allow 1 at a time even in covid. Staff had assured me prior to check in a week before that I would get the Beach front unit to get a side beach view unit. Everything is old and outdated. They provided the actual quilt on bed just those fleece blankets. Just a big huge joke and disappointment. Save your money and time. Do not go. I used my timeshare week and...
