From the minute we walked into the resort we were welcomed like family. The staff were very attentive and went the extra mile to place us in a room that met every expectation.||The resort was very clean and the apartment that we stayed in was light, spacious, and met every requirement. The rooms were large with a double width balcony (wider than we have experienced in other resorts). There was easily enough room for 4 large full length sunbeds (although I believe 2 are supplied as standard with two small coffee tables and 4 chairs)||The separate bedroom had not only a king size bed but a queen size sofa bed. Both the bedroom and the lounge had TV. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a microwave, cooker, dishwashing machine etc. We could have come straight from home with a toothbrush and clothes and everything else was supplied.||The resort is on the beach and beach chairs are supplied along with sun umbrellas. The staff are also happy to suggest restaurants and help where needed.||It is possible to walk to both Publix supermarket and also to the strip of shops and bars, although it is preferable to either use the bus service, taxi or drive. There is plenty of parking on the resort although it is essential to obtain a parking permit from reception. There is plenty to do on the resort including tennis, mini golf, shuffleboard, and bbq options. There is also a lovely swimming pool that is warm. Equally their is the beach. ||Pompano has plenty of bars and restaurants and their are some lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance for those who are able at Lauderdale by the Seam it is also well located for travelling to other parts of Florida.||All in all, this is a great, friendly and helpful resort, with staff who look to ensure that patrons are...

THE NATIVE SUN

AUGUST 1984-2022

I had the great pleasure of being born into these waters. The pool and the ocean were where I learned to swim. I was baptized right down the road at the place where my Mom and Dad were married.

Our family didn't always have the most money to spend, so this was the best place. It's a safe place for families, and has nice grocery stores right down the road should one like to buy groceries and cook in the kitchen or on the grills located outside. There are also nice piers nearby within walking distance. Free trolley will take you around the loop should you like to see the public beaches. There are also fun rentals nearby should you like to boat, surf, or play other FUN ocean games.

It is still currently located on a private ocean.

They had to undergo a 40-year review recently and passed the test with multiple updates.

SAFTEY NOTES: AGAIN FOR EMPHASIS: It's a private ocean. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. One of my Uncles was 2nd place runner-up for Firefighter of the year for his excellent display of bravery and courage off-duty to save a drowning man who was trying to save his little girl. I was very fortunate to have been trained by him. If you're unsure of the ocean (and especially with children in tow), it's highly recommended to not go out too far and never past the buoys.

The ocean will always win in a treading contest. She will take you under.

NOT PICTURED: Family. Because I don't like to post pictures...

Horrible Place to Stay. Staff including Maintenance George is not what I was expecting on my bday week. They gave me 2 sets of keys and 1 didn't work and they have no staff past 6PM on day of check in. I had my bday Party and came back late with some fam friends and cake and food to find out that the key didn't work and was locked out for 2hrs. I called the staff George and he made me feel so little and belittled me as if I didn't know how to properly use a key nor follow check in instructions. Then the dish washer was broken and had molded water in it for awhile but I didn't attempt to use it for a few days. I had been coughing a few time entering the kitchen but chucked it to fall allergies but opened dish water stale water and the funk of a million yrs. Needles to say I will never stay there again. And piece fell off sliding door. Ohh and the microwave vent piece fell off after 1st use. I reported to staff in morning and no one should to do repairs till 2 dats later after a prompted 2and call. There was no jacuzzi as described nor they allow 1 at a time even in covid. Staff had assured me prior to check in a week before that I would get the Beach front unit to get a side beach view unit. Everything is old and outdated. They provided the actual quilt on bed just those fleece blankets. Just a big huge joke and disappointment. Save your money and time. Do not go. I used my timeshare week and...

This has been my home away from home for over 40 years. Since I was a baby. I legit travel all over the world for work and there is nowhere I’d rather be than here. When I bring friends here, their mind is blown because it’s so affordable and literally steps from the ocean. You don’t have to walk through some silly resort to access all your favorite amenities. It isn’t a giant condo building with a maze of walkways. Is it dated? Yes, a little, but it’s clean and charming. And actually I adore the old school decor. It makes it feel like I’m living an upscale “Golden Girl” dream. There are HUGE glass sliding hurricane doors that open to the ocean breeze. Giant patios, outdoor pool, hot tub, brand new shuffle board, tennis courts, putting green…and my favorite….gas grills 2 steps from the sand. I have a full kitchen with an open floor plan so I can cook and chat with the fam out on the balcony or on the couch. My bedroom has a pullout sofa (along with the pullout in the front room) so you can separate into two living spaces. The staff is incredible. I love Jerri and the girls up front and Annette has been a staple since I was little. Everyone is so helpful. Got a maintenance issue? They are on it. You will not find a place like this around. I am kind of grateful the marketing has been low key because this 100 percent is my happy place. If you stumbled on it, good for you. Welcome. ❤️ shhhhh.

A hidden gem! Everything you could want in a vacation getaway and right on beach. Nice Full kitchen. Bright and sunny decor. Bed and Hideabed very comfortable. Great shower with power. Nice warm clean pool. Beach 50m away. Hot tub is great. 2 BBQ available. Friendly, helpful and accommodating front desk. Great tennis court which seems always available. Shuffle board and little putting green. Each unit has private deck and chairs and ocean view. Lots of beach lounge chairs, never an issue. Millenials might think its dated....but we all understand them. Catholic church across the street. Grocery store 10 min walk. Not a huge resort, which makes it quiet and comfortable. Love It.
