Our experience at this hotel was horrible. I would never stay here again or recommend any of my friends or family stay here. It was dirty and the staff was rude.
We arrived at 2 am after working all day and driving all night and should have left when we walked in. There was a note that the hot tub was broken on the counter. I specifically called before booking and was told the pool and hot tub worked just fine. Then when we walked in the room we were surprised at how spacious the room was. Until we looked at the bathroom and noticed dried urine on the toilet seat and floor. Water stain also on the bathroom floor Used soap and trash on the counter. A wet stain in front of the fridge. And dirty couches. We did not call the front desk at that time as my husband just wanted to get some sleep before we had to get up at 7 am. The good news is that the sheets did appear to be clean. In the morning we went to get breakfast and there was 1 scoop of eggs, no sausage, mushy brown apples and bananas. I dumped my apple juice out as it was watered down. When we left at 8:15 we talked to the front desk and explained the dirty room. I should have taken pictures of the lack of breakfast as well but didn't. We had somewhere to be from 9-2. When we returned to the hotel we decided that it wasn't worth it to stay here and put ourselves and child through misery for 3 more nights and wanted to check out. We talked to Rena at the front desk and she was very rude. We asked to check out and she would only refund us 2 of the 4 nights stay. I understand them charging us for the 1st night even though it was nasty, but the 2nd night is out of line. She called us liars about breakfast and my husband told her to check her video cameras. What reason would I have to lie to her? Especially, in front of my son.
But here is the deal, I would have never written this review if she would have owned up to their mistakes and refunded our money. But she made the choice to not fulfill her side of the contract and yet still hold me to fulfill my monetary obligation. And so because of her choice, I have decided to write a review in hopes that no one else will have a horrible night stay or have to see a nasty bathroom upon arrival and have no breakfast after 4.5 hours sleep. And if you took the time to read all of this - 1) thank you and 2) save yourself the drama and charges and book the Best Western Plus Lincoln Inn & Suites on...
Read more2nd time visiting Nebraska first time coming close to get a room. I decided to walk in and pay for a 2 night stay at this company & was charged $281.35 a long with a $100. I cancelled the room an hour later due to family saying we could stay with them to make it to the graduation & I'm getting told by the young lady at the desk that I couldn't cancel my reservation & she had to call her mom-ager. I had let her know that I'll come in tomorrow so we can speak face to face. Not once have I seen nor spoke to their mom-ager. Saturday post graduation; I head to the hotel again informing the brother of the young lady that I spoke to the night before about being told I can't get reimbursed for the room I cancelled and hour later that my children and self didn't sleep in; he then calls mom-ager & she says to him that they still have to charge me for the night I didn't stay but I will get 151.35 & my deposit back. & For the 1 night alone the rooms were $82 so I should have been charged for that 1 night after taxes about $86 or so after taxes. After leaving the hotel from speaking with this gentleman my card was charged 151. 35 then it was put back onto my card Sunday (5.26.2024). I called today (5.28.2024) and spoke to the same gentleman with my statement in my hand letting him know about the transaction that took place with the 151.35 & still not receiving my deposit; that he's now saying wasn't removed from my card when on my back statement it shows incoming & outgoing funds along with the place/company & that's the only card i used at this place in Lincoln, NE. After tomorrow if my funds aren't...
Read moreMy fiance and I stay in Lincoln on a regular basis & it is technically our "home away from home." We have a 4 year old daughter so we enjoy getting out of town for a night or two every once in a while. We usually always stay at a different hotel but last night, since the Nebraska Huskers played that day, the rooms were outrageously priced and didn't feel like paying over $150 just to sleep. Upon "hotel searching", we stumbled across Comfort Suites which had a really affordable price and on a nice part of town. My fiance and I thought "is this too good to be true?" Like other hotels, we looked up the price and then called and once we got a hold of a live person the prices were all jacked up. After 2 hours of looking for a reasonable hotel and taking our chances with our last string of hope, we called Comfort Suites and the price was exactly what we wanted to spend and even LOWER! When arriving at the hotel, the front desk staff was very polite and went out of our way to accommodate us. At check-in (10:30 p.m.) she made our first 5-10 minutes very pleasurable and really made us feel "at home." As my fiance and I made our way up to our room, we were shocked at how updated the hotel as a whole looked and hoped our room was as nice as the rest of the hotel, especially at the price we got. When we entered our room our mouths literally dropped open. It looked as if we were entering our new apartment home. The room was extra large and we felt as if we could stay for an entire week. My fiance and I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have total relaxation and a high-end feel...
