In my 22 years, I have never gone out to eat and not left a tip.. I have 6 years of service experience and a working as an assistant FOH and assistant KM, I am not at all satisfied with my visit at this location.
Being New Years, I was fine with the approximately 20 minute wait. The lady who put us down on the waitlist was nice, and the lady who sat us was also very pleasant. We sat down sooner than our 20 minute quote and I was very happy go get a delicious breakfast.
Then our problems started, it took nearly 12 minutes for our server to come over and take our drinks. She apologized for taking so long for being overwhelmed. But her section at the time was only a four top and three two tops. She was double sat, and did take appropriate action in just taking both orders at the same time. That is the only compliment I will give her. Both me and my dining buddy were ready to order at the time she took our drink order, but she refused to take it.
After waiting another 10 minutes to get two coffees and a two waters, she brought them to our table and was questioning herself if she got the order correct. I almost lost my mind that she physically wrote down our drink order, and then couldn't remember if she got it correct. She then took an additional two minutes just to pour our coffees, while holding the try in the air, and give them to us. She didn't even fill the coffees completely. I was worried I was going to have drinks spilled in my mate's lap.
She then gave the remaining drinks to the table next to us. At this time I noticed that another table was sat next to us, taken by a different server, "T", and she had gotten their drinks and food order in the time it took Leann to pour our two coffees. After getting our drinks, a few minutes went by and we got our food order taken care of. At this point we had been sat for nearly 30 minutes. I then watched her punch in the two food orders for nearly 7 minutes on the POSI system, looking very confused as if she had no idea what any of the abbreviations mean.
We then proceeded to wait from 12:30 to 1:25 to get our food, after the order was taken. In that time "T" had taken three tables orders, given all three their food, given refills, and one was already heading out the door. Finally a lady, who wasn't our server but I wish I could have tipped her (If I had cash on me), gave us our food. The food was lukewarm, at best, because it was most likely sitting under the heat lamp for a good 30-40 minutes. But the lady who got our food, got us a refill on our coffee thermos, which was never filled in the first place, and Tabasco sauce within what felt like seconds. If Leann was the one to bring our food, I'm certain I would have had to walk over, reached under the POSI to grab it myself.
A few minutes go by, and the table next to us also got their food. Leann didn't bring out their food either. In fact Leann didn't bring out any of the food for any of her tables our entire 2 hour visit. Unfortunately for that table, Leann messed up the order and a woman had to wait longer to get her omelette corrected. I have no idea how long this took because we ate our entire meal before she got a new omelette. So much "For on the Fly".
By the time we finished eating, I felt sick because we waited so long to get our food, that I was no longer hungry. I forced myself to eat it, because I doubted Leann's ability to bring me a box. Let me say again, I DOUBTED HER ABILITY TO BRING ME A BOX. We didn't even wait for her to bring us our check, because we hadn't had a visit from Leann since she brought us our coffee and water nearly an hour and a half ago. My mate and I left the table and went to the front to pay for our "spectacular dining experience".
I wanted to complain so bad, but the lady taking our payment was so nice that I couldn't bring it in my heart to unload these 2 hours of hatred onto her. She had a lot of tattoos, mostly black and white, I forgot to catch her name tag. She was also the lady who took down our names on...
Read moreOk folks, I am not one to snivel much about much but, last night's visit at IHOP was the absolute worst "Breakfast After The Gig" I have ever been a part of! At first greeting by the host, we were asked if a booth would be ok, one of us said yes. I did notice that the area to the east was empty with many tables empty that would accommodate 5 people. Yet, we were still seated at a booth along the south wall on the west side of the facility. Next to our table that was not large enough to accommodate us and along the same south wall, were many tables that could have accommodated us if, they were cleared and ready for service. Now, in the west side of the facility, there were twelve other folks seated in various spots so, it was not very busy. As a matter of fact, I overheard a worker exclaim, "Bar Rush Must Be Over"! It was 3:15AM so, yes the bar rush was probably over, still no excuse for dirty tables and limited seating! Speaking of seating, I was seated on a bench that had a rip about 2.5 feet long(See the image posted below) right in the center of the bench and much of the foam had been torn out. I was sitting in a bowl with my butt resting on the board below the foam, real comfortable. Our server was there fairly quick to take our orders and separated the tickets as requested. This was the only thing positive about our visit! After about 25 minutes of wait and because our table did not accommodate 5 people, one of our folks had to grab a chair from one of the dirty tables and sit at the end of the booth between a dirty table and ours. This made for limited room for plates when they were served. Not to mention all of the well proportioned plates passing my face on the way to the person who ordered them. Now, I was last served and my plate, a "Chicken Strips and Fries" meal was laid before me and I had to ask, "Did you leave the rest of the fries in the vat?" as there were 5 very over cooked chicken strips and 12, yes I said 12 fries on my plate. The server asked if I would like additional fries and I stated "No" three times because he kept asking. About 15 minutes later, he came to the table and laid another plate of fries in front of me and stated, "your fries, sir". I gave them to one of our folks as I had already lost my appetite and was already too upset to eat them anyway! By this time, most of the facility had cleared out except the very noisy and loud patrons seated directly behind me in another booth so, I took the time to take a picture of the seat that I was given and to look around to see that most if not all of the tables in the west side of the facility were dirty, not cleared and reset for service and the workers were standing around talking! When my check arrived, I paid the total and did not tip our server. One of us laid a ten dollar bill on the table and I thought that was WAY TO MUCH! If our server wanted to get tipped, maybe he would have been more attentive to our table, needs and the surroundings of our table. Maybe he would have cleared the adjacent tables and made available the opportunity to serve other patrons instead of making our visit a complete and utter waste of time! I cannot believe the level of disservice this facility effects on the image of IHOP! Realistically speaking, if your workers are not going to clean the face of your facility, how can we be assured that the area preparing our meals are clean and sanitary? We will never return to...
Read moreHad the wrose experience at this place today. The table we were seated at was filthy with various stains and table was sticky. There seems to be no order to things as in no one seems to know what's going on. The seats had crumbs all over and as long as we waited for our food we still didn't have sliverware to eat with. The windows had smudges on them and the syrup bottle handles were sticky. I had asked about the blackberry cheesecake pancakes that was advertised on the window since it wasnt in the menu I was given and she gave me another one that it. So after 20 mins or so after makeing our order and hearing my waitress and another be rude to eachother when they were bringing our food out, I'm than told they don't have black berrys and if I wanted something else. I told her I would need the menu to decide. She gives it to me and my husband has to point out we can't eat our food without sliverware. She gets that for us and at this point my husband is getting upset and let's her know what we noticed is wrong with the experiences we are having since we have been there. She says she will get the manager. My husband tells her our concerns and she says they are out of blackberries. My husband points out they are advertisementing them on their window and I tell her my waitress knew that's what I wanted and didn't bother to tell me they are out of them. She said they been out for three days of the berries ans my husband told her to not have her sign up. The whole time she shows no concern and repeates things that doesn't make sense and had not comments to our other complaints. After she asked me if I know what else I want to eat I told her I don't feel like waiting longer for my food when they knew they didn't have what I ordered and I only had half of what I ordered. I told her I was done and walked out. Letting her know how stressful this whole...
