My car was vandalized in this parking lot. My room was disgusting. The photos look nothing like the photos. I told the staff that I most definitely had to clean my own tub as I stepped in and slipped, could have fallen on blood thinners. I’m on daily Coumadin and slipped into the orange slime that was covering the bottom of the tub. As I sat in the tub I saw that the mold and mildew was growing on the spot (practically). Maybe they are in need of some of those handy immigrants to clean these rooms because this place was trash. I’ve had a stuffy nose and headache ever since I left this room. I’m getting ready to go on to Twitter and TikTok and warn everyone to avoid this hotel which is across the street from Walmart and much less clean than a motel 6. Is it that it was a disabled room? Do they feel that the elderly and disabled don’t deserve a better place to sleep and bathe? Only one lamp worked. The room darkening coverings don’t even slightly overlap so you are awoken when the light shines through. The carpet is dark blue like 1980’s colors. This place looks nothing like the photos. It looks like I’ve had a mold exposure and who knows what, maybe a pipe stuck in to the back of my Lexus which tore off the side of the bumper and effected the back up warning mechanism. But even after I sent photos of the fact that u had to clean my own tub, they billed me and told me to forward the photos to the manager at home. The manager was never called. No supervisor came to address the mold and toxic danger of the bathtub. Hair on the walls getting in and out of the tub. The toilet seemed clean. Tiny soaps and community shampoos and conditioners which I would never use god knows what are in those bottles. And the bottles had slime still on the walls. Any human that was charged with cleaning or managing that housekeeping dept should be working at the landfill instead. The fact that staff blew off my complaints while I am a fully disabled person and then billed me for the stay, after being a marriot honors member since the 80’s??? No way. Horrid service. Thousands in damage the first time my car has ever been vandalized. One gal sitting at the desk on a Saturday night without any help or security in sight. 4 crappy pillows on the bed I asked for more pillows and the staff member left the 3 extra pillows on the floor outside the room. On. The. Floor. So I had to take my leg with blood clots and limp back down to my car to gather pillows and bring them back up at 2am in the bone chilling wind. So far now 24 hours later I’ve not heard a word from Jessica Stansberry and her private email address. They didn’t even give me a Marriott address to send these photos.
I went through the bonvoy app and I didn’t take the time to read these reviews on this site. Never have I ever been so disappointed in a Marriott brand. Not since 1989. I circled where my car was parked, there was no way I was off in a corner. And this is what the hotel looked like, it sure as hell doesn’t look like the photos. That brownish slime from the bottles was all over the base of the tub. When I filled it with water my left foot slipped forward and I fell. At no point did they even ask if I needed to be seen by a physician. My right hip and back started hurting yesterday afternoon and I had to stop early because of the pain as I’m trying to move to California. At least I stopped in Cheyenne where the hotel rooms are clean. I expect to be able to help others and will put this hotel on blast to help others from this same fate. Imagine the laziness and the lack of professionalism of no one even stepping foot in the tub to wash the slime off from the shampoo bottles. Again, fully disabled social security with two current DVTs in my leg. They charged my card for getting exposed to mold all night long and as I sat...
Read moreShout out to Chris the awesome man at the front desk. He went out of his way to be friendly and helpful, poor guy had his hands full with the lady who stayed next door to us: we were in 121, she was in 123, and had two very lively barking dogs. At least once, he had complaints from folks staying there and had to knock on her door. I’m not sure if she thought she was in a sound proof room, or what. Evidently she took off early the next day. We don’t mind the barking, but it’s good to note this IS a pet friendly hotel. If you don’t like pets, maybe check the other Fairfield in Lincoln. Call them because when I googled pet friendly Fairfield Inns, this one’s not on it, so evidently it changes. Calling hotels is always what I do, got a slight discount, it’s never easy to not get stupid third party sites like Expedia, hotels.com and this one, although trip advisor is not so aggressive. |We really liked this hotel. The decor is colorful, and cute, room appeared newly redone. We got a handicapped accessible room, in Chris’ attempt to give us a room near a door, which was much appreciated. |Love the fluffy duvet covers, but ours felt like it was a queen size on a king sized bed. Breakfast was excellent, was fresh fruit, eggs, waffles. Love their philosophy of treat the guests how you’d like to be treated, two minor details that took it from a 5 star to a 4 star in our minds: |1. Pet peave: although I appreciate coffee in the room put 2 each of decaf, and regular coffee. Not all people are going to want decaf (🙄)|2. Love the pool with hot tub, but hot tub was...
Read moreI'm not complaining, but I do know that corporate looks at reviews and I think this location could use some updates. Room 101 -the toilet constantly runs but we shut the door at night so not to hear it (notified the front desk) -shutting/opening the bathroom door is tight and is noisy (not fun for having sleeping babies in the room) -outlet for the light next to the TV didn't work so we only had the bedside and entry light. -bedside light outlets were really loose- like I thought they would fall over there was no support but right outlet on the bedside table didn't work either so we just shared our charger. -hotel pool was FREEZING like 60's. We'd only swam maybe 15 minutes and my girls lips, fingers and toes started to turn purple. we called to ask if the heater was broken, they said they'd check the next day, we went like an hour after they said it should be fine but it was still very cold, we made it about 45 minutes the second round. -my husband woke up at 5 am to a rhythmic clicking sound coming from the hallway, I believe he said it was like every 7 seconds, Im glad my girls and I slept through it. -no pen, paper or wifi password posted in the room, I found odd and a little inconvenient
Praises: beds are comfortable, rooms were clean, price was cheap, staff seemed friendly even if they weren't personally able to help the issues and the breakfast and breakfast staff...
