While suit shopping for my graduation, I needed to try on items to ensure they fit for professional photos. I brought with me two shirts and pocket squares purchased from an outside vendor to try on with the two suits I was planning to purchase. I ensured to keep the tags on the items, receipts and the original bag to ensure there would be no confusion about where the items were purchased. When escorted to the fitting room, no one questioned us (my wife and I) about the bag with the items. This lead me to believe that I would have no issues trying on suits with the items. While trying on the suits, it appeared that store team members assumed I was trying to steal merchandise. They sent back a team member who was working the fitting room and she began to ask questions about prom. She assumed I was in high school and I explained to her that I wasn’t and was shopping for graduation photos for my Master’s degree. We (my wife and I) were never asked if we needed additional items and never asked what was in the bag, but were continuously hovered over. Of note, the bag with outside vendor items never went in the actual fitting room with me. It stayed outside the room with my wife the entire time. When I needed certain items from the outside vendor, I ensured the actual fitting room door was open and stepped out to hold items against the suits to again ensure there was no confusion. Right as we were walking out of the fitting room, another team member came back. We both then were frustrated and uncomfortable, so we proceeded to the front to check out. Right before checking out, I specifically asked the team member who checked us out, if they wanted/needed to see what was in the outside vendor bag because I did not appreciate the perception that we were stealing. He said no that wasn’t needed and proceeded to check us out - of which we purchased both suits I came in to try on. We are consistent and frequent customer at this Express store specifically, and I personally tend to only come to the Outlets to shop there. Express Factory had provided fake marketing to the customer and trying to cheat. I was been impacted with this fake marketing promotion that they have introduced. “One of the express manager and the person who were working at the register at the store, was marketing the promotion about if we apply express credit card then we get 20% off and there will be a soft hit on our credit report.” But as a customer, I said how came that be because I’m applying a new credit card and their will be a hard hit on my credit report. But the store manager said that (“NO SIR there will be a soft hit, already there are customer who had soft hit when they opened the credit card first time with us”) and I was surprised and trusted and applied. And after applied I got hard hit and when I spoke with their manager and team they said it was a mistaken about the hard hit and they gave me their express credit card company contact info and told that they will help me. Which they have never helped me out. Been on call for almost half day and kicking from one person to another also spoke with the express credit card account manager and was speaking rude and said it’s my mistake.

I asked him if he was mad or what happened because i didn’t even say a word while he was doing everything. He just said NO and he turned around when i was still talking to him. I don’t know what i did wrong but when he was giving me the receipt he gave me an attitude. I used to go there a lot of times and the people that is working there have been always really nice.
