This was by far the worst hotel I have ever walked out of. We checked in and went to the first room 115 opened the door to find a large pile of garbage on the floor, no bedding. I went back to the office and they moved us to 217. Walked in to find the heater broken. The only reason we stayed here was because our power went out at home. Fixtures falling off the wall, every si gle wall had fluids of varying colors splattered all over them, toilet seat wad broken, no shower curtain, no towels, grease caked on the back splash behind the range top, damaged fire sprinkler, and the countertop was breaking apart. They offered us a refund with no question because they knew how bad it was. As I was telling the receptionist about the issues there were other people coming in to demand a refund because their rooms were disgusting. For $83.00 I don't expect a five star hotel experience but I expect a room to be clean. We went down the street and for $28.00 more got a great room at comfort inn where nothing was broken or gross and the heat works and they have free breakfast. I really hope I don't have to fight to get the refund they promised as they told us they were unable to give us a receipt showing the refund and it still has not been put back into my account. This place needs to be demolished. Update. They have now not only not processed the refund they offered for the room we couldn't stay in but have billed my account multiple times creating an overdraft. I have attempted to contact a manager but have been unsuccessful. I filed a complaint with ref roof inn but that seems to be going nowhere. I have initiated stop payments on each transaction with my bank and hoping that will get this issue resolved. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a hotel.

This has got to be the worst place I have ever stayed, first day there the garbage disposal fell off sink when I was using it, in room 106, I contacted the GM, she got me the maintenance man whom complained vehemently saying that did not just fall off, I told him that it did just that. In essence, calling me a lair, I went and got the manager and told her what he said to me. She came to the room and he tried to say he wasn't calling me a lair, then he proceeded to say to the manager that he did not have time for that "bullshit" and he walked away, The General Manager assure me the he would be delt with. And of course l don't believe he was. I moved to floor 3 a couple of days later, I asked for a screen so I could get some freash air (room smelled) she told me NO they didn't have any, room 106 was out of service for a few days due to a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. I ask to have that screen move to my current room, I was told no, there policy prevents those kids of actions. I was there for 26 days for work, I was so put off by the lack of concern about my comfort and provide a pleasant stay I decided to move to another hotel, for 23 dollars more a night, it was a Very good decision. I will never return to this dump again. Staff was not very accommodating. Both rooms that I was in, I had to wear shoes all the time because the floors were so filthy, in less than 5 minutes my feet were so dirty.

Probably the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever walked into. Walls were filthy, drawers were falling apart and stove and bathroom was just so unpleasant and non-welcoming. After I took the keys, she told me how to get to the room and that’s it, nothing about was included as far as breakfast if there was any or nothing about Wi-Fi. Also, what hotel doesn’t have 24 hour front desk services?? Yeah, during the week after like 6 PM the office is closed so you can’t check out if you need to… how convenient is that? I checked out same day because I wasn’t sleeping in those rooms. I called the number on the front door because they were closed. I spoke with a guy to let him know I was checking out. He said OK I will let them know your checkout date and just leave the keys in the room. He even asked for the room number He even asked for the room. But he DIDN'T let them know or he didn’t relay the message well because my receipt still says I checked out on Sunday not Friday smh. Then I waited for the front desk to open and I spoke with apparently is the manager and she said I should’ve called when they were open to check out. The guy spoke to when they were closed didn’t tell me this, But my point is she’s basically telling me I should've known their policy lol this place is pathetic and dirty, don’t stay here. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else because it will be worth it

Where to begin? first of all the management at the establishment is extremely rude. When we arrived we were told there would be no issue with the fact that we had made our reservation through Priceline for one week if we chose to extend it for another week. The first week we were there went okay, there did seem to be whay appeared to be blood on the walls but being that we had no transportation we made the best of it by cleaning the walls with bleach ourselves. We were not in our room often that first week, so we were unaware of the extent of all the many issues, were moving and our apt wouldnt be ready until the 1st and our vehicle was in the shop so options were limited anyway. The morning of the seventh day of our reservation we planned to run down to the office to inform them that we had renewed our reservation through Priceline. but we were surprised by a knock on the door. It was an employee, whom we later found out was the manager, she yelled in my face "yall have to be out by noon." I stated "I'm sorry I was going to let you know that we had extended out through Priceline" to which she replied "no you're on my list stating you cannot renew". I tried to continue the conversation but she dismissed me and went on to the next room. When I went down to the office and inquired as to why we were not eligible to renew the manager said "I don't have to tell you why I just want you to know that I'm extending you one more week as a favor and after that you cannot extend any further". That week, we had several people above us and to the sides of us that were noisy all night long and when I say noisy I mean it sounded as though they were moving furniture and doing suicide crawls across the floor all hours of the night. To make matters worse it must have been around trash day when we decided to walk across the street to McDonald's because there were rats all along the walkway, all along the stairs and literally everywhere outside. We had to run past them to get onto the elevator in order to get to our room. When I informed management of the issue they said it's been ongoing and that we were basically going to have to deal with it. Since this property is owned by Red roof inn I contacted Red roof myself in an attempt to get a refund and switch accommodations, unfortunately they stated that without reason for a refund they could not give me one. Apparently the fact that the property was infested with rats, management seem to be racially biased, and we were completely unsatisfied was not reason enough. After leaving the property I received an email from Priceline stating that we never showed up for our accommodations but the property was not willing to give us a refund for that second week. Which to me clearly shows that management and some of the employees are involved in some kind of a scheme where they are pocketing money from people who pay with cash or people who pay on Priceline and stating that they never showed up. If I could give this place a negative Stars I would. The only nice thing I have to say about it is if you are a animal person, you might save yourself tickets to the Detroit zoo as there are plenty of animals to observe from the cat sized rats, to the dog sized possums and skunks. I have never in my life reported any establishment to the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, this place being...

06/23/23 Check-in around 4 pm. By 7 pm gunfire police present. 06/24 10 am Domestic dispute police present. The grounds and Buildings are not maintained very well. From the check-in date of 06/23 to 06/ 30 room did not get cleaned( was told rooms would clean once a week). 07/01 I returned to my room at 11:38 pm to find it flooded with 3 inches of Storm Drain water or Raw sewage. Called the night watchman he responded this happens all the time during heavy rainfall and he could only give me some towels to soak up the water. After a verbal exchange, he came to look. Decided he should call someone. Later return with a key to another room with a nonworking TV. I got moved into the new room by 1 am 07/02. 11 am the Maintenance Man came to the new said the TV in that room couldn't be fixed, and he was preparing my original room for me to return to it. I ask had the problem had been fixed. He stated he was doing what he was told to do. I then ask where is the manager, and he answered not on site. I ask why. Got no response. I informed I was not going back to the original room because the problem hadn't been fixed, and with more rain coming I would be exposed to the same stormwater or raw sewage. He stated you have keys to both rooms stay in whichever you like. I requested that the manager come speak to me because I wanted a refund for my weekly stay.. As I was moving from one room to the next the Manager show up and said hello, I said to her you're just the person I need to speak with she went to her office. I secured my belonging and then tried to enter the office the door was locked. I knocked and got no response. The public shouldn't be exposed to storm drain water or raw sewage. This place is managed terribly. The management's indifferent attitude towards anything other than collecting money is ridiculous. One hour has passed after seeing the manager and she has reached out to me. I have pictures I will post them...
