Bread Basket Deli — Restaurant in Livonia

I called and place an order on November 6th I ordered two numbers 17 one with no cheese line extra meat Lily and took my order. I drove all the way from Novi to the Livonia location my husband went in pick up I order we drove back home we got home he opened up his sandwich with stated on the wrapping no cheese on the receipt it said no cheese while he had cheese on his sandwich and he is allergic to cheese had he ate that sandwich it would have went all wrong. I called and asked to speak with the manager African American guy got on the phone he didn't seem to be compassionate or anything just he States I didn't place the order what is your last name and he was just rude no customer service skills I just kept saying what what do you want me to do do you want me to make another sandwich it's not about the sandwich it's about someone being careless in their kitchen after his rudeness I just hung up on him. I called on Sunday November 7th a lady answered the phone placed me on hold for several minutes came back I asked what this Lillian she said no Lillian doesn't work here anymore so in 24 hours Lillian doesn't work there anymore yeah okay I said so what is your name she said Heather explain to her what happened I asked to speak with Alex who was the owner of that location was advised he's not available he will be in tomorrow at 11:30 she seem to not really have any compassion as well the moral of this whole story is if something had happened to my husband I will be suing this location I could actually still do that due to the fact that the order was incorrect had he not into that sandwich it would have went bad but he saw the cheese on the sandwich we threw the whole sandwich away. Now the lady that answered the phone today that said her name was Heather she sounds exactly like Lillian yesterday that took my order as I stated the order was correct on the receipt it said one no cheese it was correct when we took the sandwiches out the bag and the one had on the package marked no cheese but to open the sandwich and see cheese on it is unacceptable that's just like a child giving another child peanut butter in school and the child having allergic reaction their throat can close it'll just go terribly wrong I would never patronize this location or any other Bread Basket locations due to the lack of customer service and due to the lack of professionalism. And then when I asked the lady who's the manager there she told me what we really don't have a manager there's like a cook and some other people that work there but they don't actually have a manager so this is real person was apparently possibly the cook whatever he did or whoever did that cooked should have been paying attention and not being distracted because they could have took someone's life by being careless had my husband ate that sandwich and as I stated this whole situation would have went a totally different way I know I want to talk to the owner Alex so Alex if you read this review please respond to this review or possibly add a contact number where I can call...

We went into the Bread Basket on Middlebelt in Livonia which used to be wonderful, But I moved up north and we were going there for a treat while I was downstate and OMG IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! The Waitress was RUDE who took our order, Made me come to the register when we were there to eat in at the counter, Then she left?? Or went outside?? Just plain disappeared and never gave us our drinks or nothing after I spend $50 on "3" Meals!! (I mean Come on??!!) Then the place was Horrifically Dirty, Fries and Food all over the Floors and the counters were sticky!! Then after a LONG and I mean LOOONNG Over 30 minute wait for only "3" Sandwiches and Fries and NO Other customers were there waiting so it was just US, He comes the COOK with our Order BAGGED UP as a TO GO Order with NO PICKLES NO POPS, All Bagged when it was an EAT IN ORDER!!! I mean What the Heck?? Then he ACTED RUDE when I said we wanted to eat it there!!! SOOO We just took our Food that was Already Bagged and Left. I was sooooooo Disappointed!! I will Never go back to that Location, the health department should be called and go out there. It is a shame that somewhere that was so nice a couple of years ago is so trashy now!! Shame on You Bread Basket Workers and Owner!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! DIRTY, RUDE STAFF, UNWARRANTED WAIT TIMES, UNCLEAN EVERYTHING...

So, I Decided on Bread Basket for lunch on Sunday. It's hard moving from Detroit to Ypsilanti. The restaurants just don't HIT the same. I didn't want to go to Detroit for Lou's, because their attitudes don't deserve my money ANYMORE. Been putting up with those itty biiiiihs long enough. Placed and paid for my order in bread basket. I proceed to go to the table and just gaze across the street at all the shops. This was my first visit here. I started feeling like somebody was watching me. I turned around and the COOK has wedged his entire body between the pop counter and the tip counter. He was staring so hard at my backside. OMG! IM totally being violated for $25. Goodness. Upon eye contact he did not flinch, he started moooooaning 🤦🏾‍♀️. Creep of the week goes toooooo...You got it. So I needed my drink that came with the meal. He handed it to me, I'm trying to grab it, and he's pulling it away. Y'all. Take your man/husband or go somewhere else. Dude was too much. And he does that all day, every day. I'm going further with this though. Gal can't even go get lurnch in ✌🏾. And after he realized that I wasn't biting, he didn't stop, because we never should have been tugging at my pop. He doesn't understand NOPE!!! STRANGER DANGER AT BREAD BASKET...
