I know I cannot be the only one that was excited when they found out that there was going to be another local coffee place opening. I know I was getting super tired of waiting in line for 40 minutes at the place across from Meijer (if you know, you know). Then finding out that there was going to be a drive-thru too, pretty much sealed the deal for this becoming my go-to spot for my daily caffeine fix. Though I must say, the drive-thru here has a bit of a strange layout as it does wrap around the back of the building. It was confusing when it first opened, but now there is plenty of signage to guide you to where you need to be.
To be completely honest I have held off on writing this review for quite a while because all new places go through grand opening "growing pains" and I didn't want that to taint my overall review. This place was no exception to growing pains, and for a minute there, coming here (which I've done almost daily since it opened) was becoming a rather trying experience.
It has since then improved immensely, and I am glad to see it. There is a pretty steady lineup of baristas now, and they seem to have settled in nicely and things are for the most part, running smoothly. While we're on the subject of the employees, everyone here is friendly, welcoming, professional, and in my experience if there is ever an issue with anything, it gets handled immediately with no questions asked.
When it comes to Biggby in general, I am truly torn. It's more affordable espresso wise, and has better food options than many other large coffee chains, but the espresso itself is just okay. I try to stick to their cold brew which you can get it like 30 different flavors and combinations, so you really cannot go wrong (if you like cold brew).
Despite this relatively new location being in a very, very busy part of town, there is rarely ever more than a 5 minute or so wait here. For a minute I was starting to get concerned by the lack of a regular line in the drive-thru, but there are certainly times that are busier than others, and lines do form from time to time. This place isn't as slow as it once was so just keep that in mind.
When all is said and done I really only have one complaint about this particular location and it's that they put you on the spot about adding a tip when you pay with your credit/debit card. It drives me insane, and I often purposely bring cash to pay with here so I don't have to deal with it. I've never come across this type of thing at any other coffee establishment, and even places like sit-down style restaurants where tipping is common and expected, the waiters are never going to ask you for a tip. I don't mind tipping, when its on my terms. Being asked for a tip creates this dynamic where you feel like you have to tip unless you want to come off as rude and cheap. I would honestly probably come here even more than I already do (which is A LOT) if I didn't get asked every time if I wanted to leave a tip on my...
Read moreThis has quickly become my favorite spot for coffee. For years, I associated great coffee with Starbucks, but since discovering this place, I now have a new favorite. What sets this cafĂ© apart isnât just the exceptional customer serviceâwhich is far more attentive and friendly than most competitorsâbut also the thoughtfulness and creativity behind their products. The flavors are unique, bold, and sure to please any palate.

Read more4 of us only ones in lobby. All workers just stared at us. Walking by smiling. No one ask for order until after 7 minutes. It took 4 attempts to get 3 coffees and one sandwich order into the system. A total of 20 minutes just to get the order registered. After paying it took 10 minutes to pour 3 coffees and make one sandwich. After I asked how long does it take pour a redeye? Multiple persons ask what size? The guy that took the order repeatedly said 20 oz. After much ballyhooing I got the drink. I've been to other biggby this was the worst service... Especially for spending $22 for 3 coffees & sandwich. After tasting the redeye... It was awful. Service was terrible. Coffee terrible. Must I say the conclusion... I'll never return here....
