Arrived for dance weekend to slowww check in w/one clerk at the desk (not my personal choice of hotel, the dance group chose it). 5th floor completely smelled of cigarette smoke (avoid if you hve asthma), carpet dirty in hallway, ice machine broke and had a sign on, elevators super slow, just old. Bed was nice, tv worked, had to plug in light behind the bedside table bc the button was broke. Shower was clean, had porcelain damage and the shower head had green (mineral deposit?) on it. I didn’t bring body wash (most hotels have body wash/shampoo but this one didn’t). Bring your own shampoo too! Party going on next door until 2am and some shady ppl in and out of the hotel front lobby. Dinner in hotel was $17 and was good! Breakfast was free and lines were long, running out of things but they were running trying to keep up. Just need more help but they (in the dining) were smiling and remained polite and friendly. I asked the front desk for a diet soda anywhere in the hotel (the vending machine broke and the “store” beside the main desk only had Coke) and the young girl at the desk (4/6/24) told me to WALK TO THE GAS STATION and get one! Um, no. The 1 of the 2 toilets in the ballroom was leaking for 3 days (towels and tablecloths behind on the floor), the ballroom AC wasn’t working, speaker system was cutting off Intermittently. Friends made it fun. I had to leave early bc it was just too disgusting in that place and I couldn’t stand another night. Hopefully Diamond State Dance will look closely at the nastiness of this hotel. I understand staying on an older hotel, nothing wrong with that. But the smoke smell, unkept rooms and ballroom bathrooms are unacceptable. There is no “room service” between days, so don’t count on that! There’s no fresh towels or clean up. Hopefully the instructors for our dance weekend were guided to stay somewhere better than this. If I arrived from Hawaii to stay here, I’d NEVER come back to Delaware. We can do better. I’d be 100% okay with paying more for an average hotel, this was the worst I’ve...

They assured us that they would refund us for our entire stay , now the staff does not answer any phone calls.. The towels and bed we’re disgustingly dirty.Expedia has tried to contact the property numerous time and they do it answer any phone calls. The hotel manager disappeared in the middle of guests voicing their frustrations. Take your money elsewhere, this place is...
