I work for Choice Hotels so this will be a very honest review of my stay...First off this is a newer hotel. The lobby is beautiful, I have worked every department in a Comfort Inn, currently I work at the front desk and i was disappointed to see Tina the front desk agent sitting on a chair. That looks extremely unprofessional, also I have made two calls to this hotel before my stay both times I have reached Tina...she was very short over the phone when I was only trying to verify my reservation and the second call I was just changing the amount of people something that only takes a moment to do seemed to be such a hassle. While arriving to the hotel seeing Tina she did not welcome me or say good morning. I wasn't even thanked for being a Choice Privilege member!!! Every member should be thanked for their loyalty and honestly front desk agents are your hotels first impression and if it wasn't for this hotel being the closest I would not have stayed due to this. Our room as nice but there was a few issues. Our room was 312. The clear curtain had a completely visible make-up stain, our sheets had a massive tear which I understand being short on sheets but those should not have been placed on a bed and the pillows as well as the mattress did NOT have the pillow protector or the mattress protector as regulation calls. For sanitary reasons these NEED to be on the pillows and the mattresses. The rest of the hotel looked very clean I even enjoyed the pool after returning from the game which was nice after being in the cold all evening. In the morning I did go down to breakfast again there was no good morning from Tina or the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was good though everything was clean and very well stocked but a good morning would have been nice. On our way out we did pass a housekeeper, unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was the most cheerful out of everyone I had passed! She was so friendly I just wish every employee was like her. I'm sad to say that I didn't even check-out at the front desk just to avoid Tina. I let the housekeeper know we were vacating and she thanked us for our stay and wished us safe travels. All in all Wonderful hotel but not the...
Read moreComfort of beds, pillows, and blankets. Front desk is very polite and helpful. Very tasty HOT breakfasts that differs from day to day. The kids loved the pool until 11pm and the 24/7 gym. My only complaint is that I used the promotional STAY 2 X AND GET THE THIRD DAY FOR FREE BEFORE APRIL 30 AND IT WAS VERY DECEIVING! According to the Choice Privileges concierge, somewhere in the fine print it states that you stay one night then you have to wait 24 hours and book another stay in order to get this promotion! This is my first issue with Choice Hotels ever using the fine print tactics that so many others use and for this, I was extremely disappointed and I have been a Choice Privileges member for many years. I also LOVED the 12:00 check out time AND throughout the day at the front desk, they had a very nice, large container of fresh lemon water and a big cookie tray for guests to snack on. In addition, this Comfort Inn was spotless! I would give our hotel room 10 stars however, I would only give the bathroom in our room 5 stars! The room was VERY small. The slippery bottomed, two glass door, but only one door that opened, shower, is directly behind the bathroom door, with the safety bar on the wall with the faucet. So with me being handicapped by not walking well, I would have to hang on the safety bar with my right hand with the shower water pouring directly on me while trying to wash with my left hand. Very awkward and I didn't want to chance falling so I sponge bathed instead!! Overall though it was a very good...
Read moreWe were in town for a motorcycle event during a heatwave weekend, the likes of which Dante would've shuddered to imagine. However, the air conditioner in our third-floor room kept our room cool, comfortable, and de-humidified: an oasis of bliss. In addition -- and possibly for the very first time -- my online request for "a quiet room and lots of extra coffee" resulted in sufficient ingredients for the Nectar of the Gods (no, we do NOT have a coffee problem!) that we didn't need to traipse down to the front desk every few hours to replenish our supply. In fact, there were enough "packets" to keep us adequately caffeinated for the entire weekend (no easy task). Our room was quiet, too. The staff was friendly and helpful, even providing a recommendation to an excellent local restaurant for dinner -- The Villa -- the evening we arrived. I'm generally not an Italian fan (he is, and the menu I found online gave me other options), but we took our server's recommendations (Italian) and both meals were fantastic. I really can't say enough good things about our stay at the Comfort Inn, Williamsport. I'm easily satisfied when it comes to hotels (clean and comfortable, enough coffee, a good shower) but am not easily impressed. I was more than impressed with everything at the Comfort Inn, Williamsport, PA. I got 4-star service and accommodations (I've stayed at 4-star hotels that weren't as nice.) on a weekend when both were definitely...
