My fiancĂŠ bought my engagement ring from here. It's a beautiful ring, but I had guessed on the size a bit when speaking to him about engagement rings in the past, and he sent this ring out and had it resized before he proposed. When he proposed, I noticed it was a little too big. We took it in to be resized only to learn that when they measured the ring it wasn't even the size he asked to have it in the first place. It was somewhat bigger. The woman helping us seemed like she would rather be anywhere but there working at the time and was not very helpful in assisting me to find out exactly what size I needed. We ended up with going 3/4 of a size smaller and when it came back 2 weeks later as soon as I went to pick it up and tried it on I could tell right away it was way too tight. A different woman this time told me to just try it out and then come back if it was too small. Going against my better judgement I decided to "try it" as she said, and as soon as I got home I still knew it was too tight. I took it back a few days later after work and explained that I needed it resized again. Yet again I got the same non-enthusiastic woman that I had the first time. I tried on the sample rings and still didn't know what size to go with, and I asked and she recommended going with the smaller of the two, so that is what I did. Today my fiancĂŠ and I went to go pick it up again because it just came back in. He went inside as I was waiting in the car after a long drive home from a vacation. He told me when he stated he was picking the ring up, at first the workers couldn't even find it because it wasn't with other pickup items until one woman stated it was in the back room. When he came back to the car with the ring (which I was so excited to finally have back because Kay's had now had it for almost a whole month between sending it out multiple times) right away I noticed the band/base of the shank was sort of wavy and not flat like it had been before. It was like they resized it but never straightened it out. I tried the ring on, but only very briefly, and it finally seems like it fit, but as soon as I showed him the band part he was very mad as was I. He went back in the store again to show them how crooked it was and said the woman stated that she didn't notice anything wrong with it until he physically held it up to her. Now Kay's is sending it out yet again (this is now time #4) to be flattened out straight. At this point, we are both over Kay's and no longer want to support this business. They want to sell quality jewelry, but fail to provide quality customer service and workmanship. It's as if the workers want to look past any flaws or fix any problems with the jewelry from there unless it is clearly pointed out to them and demanded they need to fix it.
A coworker of mine told me that she had similar issues getting a Mother's Day ring resized that her sons bought for her. She sent it put multiple times only to have it come back wrong every time and one time even damaged so much that the prongs holding the stone in were bent back making the stone loose. She gave up on sending it out and just kept the ring to put it on a necklace chain to wear.
What a shame that a store that does sell some beautiful jewelry completely ruins it with their lack of helpfulness, poor attitudes, and poor service. After the ring comes back for the 4th time, we will likely never go here or recommend...
Read moreThe jewelry is beautiful, but itâs beautiful every place else as well.. I donât know what stick these women have shoved up their asses, but seriously.. you donât need to have such a piss poor attitude.. if I wanted attitude I would go to Cracker Barrel and speak to my waitress..đ my fiancĂŠ bought me a beautiful engagement ring, that sadly needed resized.. well, I called to ask when it would be back in since my receipt doesnât say. And with so much attitude and misery the woman was like âI donât know. Weâll call you when we call you.â Like bruh What.. why are you so mean? I get that everyone is fighting their own âdemonsâ in life, but you donât need to take out your personal issues on paying customers. Iâm a waitress, and if I spoke to people like that I wouldnât get paid. Your job literally is commission, and you think being mean to people is okay? Like damn. Never shopping here again. I know Iâm not the only one thatâs had this issue either, because I spoke to a couple of people about it and they said the same thing.. you ladies always have a...
Read moreMy finance and I had the absolute BEST experience with BJ at Kay Jewelers! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome and truly cared for. She was incredibly patient, taking the time to show us every single ring we wanted to seeânever once rushing us or making us feel like we were asking too much. Her knowledge and attention to detail were unmatched, helping us find exactly what we envisioned for our wedding rings.
What really stood out was how much pride she takes in her work. She went above and beyond by carefully inspecting my ring, making sure it was sparkling clean and in perfect condition for the big day. Itâs clear she genuinely wants her customers to leave not just happy, but thrilled.
BJ turned what could have been a stressful decision into such a fun and special experience. We walked away not just with rings we adore, but with a memory weâll cherish forever. If youâre shopping for jewelry, especially something as meaningful as wedding rings, ask for BJâyouâll be in the best...
