My daughter and I stayed at the Liberty Lodge for one night on our recent college tour trip. We were close to Lycoming College and the city of Williamsport which was very convenient. The room was pretty good. It was clean and comfortable but nothing fancy. It was nice to have kitchen facilities although we never used it because we didn't stay long enough. It has everything you need (except an oven). The only thing I would say was strange and I was surprised that I did not see it in anyone else's review was that there were literally no signs for Liberty Lodge on the main road. The GPS said we were arriving and I didn't see it. You can't see the building from the road either so it's really not easy to find even though it's on a main road. Basically, when you see the Econolodge, you pull in to that lot and Liberty Lodge is in the same parking lot. If I hadn't seen a picture of it online before arriving, I never would have known it was there. The Econolodge is the large brick building and Liberty Lodge is the brown building off to the side. When checking in, there's a small office with a phone outside (attached to the side of the building). I picked up the phone outside the small office (as per the directions on the door), it was immediately answered, and the nicest woman ever directed me to go check in at the EconoLodge across the parking lot. I assume this is standard procedure and that the EconoLodge just runs both buildings. She was giving directions to another couple when I walked in because they couldn't find the building either. That same super-nice lady was there when I went in the next morning and she offered us a "grab and go" breakfast with a bottled water, Special K breakfast bar, applesauce and an oatmeal packet. There was a coffee station set up (that's also across the parking lot at Econolodge but not a big deal). Overall a pretty nice stay, maybe a little outdated but comfortable and clean. I would...
Read moreWe are currently staying here because we don’t have a place to go, we are a family of 6; 2 adults, 4 children. Overall it’s a pretty nice place, comes with everything needed to be able to live here.. kitchen is very useful, stove, full size refrigerator, sink, dishwasher etc.. only problem in our room is only one burner works on the stove so we can only cook one thing at a time! But still better than nothing. The bathroom is gorgeous and very spacious. Our biggest issue is the air conditioner! Our original one stopped working and was blowing warm air, so they replaced it but it still isn’t working properly! It shuts off constantly and doesn’t blow anything hardly at all, our room is at least 75 degrees all day and night long and it is getting unbearable especially with a 4 month old baby! I’ve called countless times about it and nothing is done. Another issue is the fact that there are ALWAYS kids running around all hours of the night, little kids cursing, and threatening to beat up my daughter for no reason, there’s no supervision whatsoever, none of the parents are ever around. I had to yell at at least 8 kids last night for being outside my door screaming when I’m trying to put my kids to bed. There’s so many druggies here, the whole place smells like weed, cops are always here so super ghetto area! overall tho it is pretty quiet at bedtime which is surprising! but overall i guess i would...
Read moreThis place was pleasant surprise. I booked it at the last minute while searching for somewhere to stop for the night during a trip out west in February with 4 of my kids. The price was very low about 15-20% cheaper than other more prestigious hotels but the pictures made it look nice and the reviews were good so I decided to take the chance. Here's why this place is definitely worth picking over the other area hotels IMO: -Price! (be sure to search for discount codes I saved an additional 10% over their already low rates-and always search for codes before booking anyway) -Location is good right on a major road (although I have to qualify that by saying that the hotel is not so easy to find- your GPS will say you are there but you have to turn off the main street and drive around the back to get into the driveway-and important-they don't tell you that check in is done in the Econo Lodge next door- the Liberty Lodge itself doesn't even have a lobby) -For the price the room is a great value- its more like a little apartment with a fully operational kitchenette complete with stove, full sink, fridge and cabinets stocked with dishes, utensils and anything else you might need. The room was very clean and modern, beds were comfortable, bathroom clean and nicely furnished and climate controls...
