Lived locally and abroad and nothing quite says small town shopping center with a small piece of everything like "The Golden Strip." Thats the local name for this strip of shopping centers and store fronts. They've got a few dying stores (like KMart) but mostly what's there has been there and there's a robust and thriving economy. Lets see; this small part of "The Strip" has Kmart, a pizza shop, a barber shop, payless shoes, and a staples, all mestled in next to eachother. Moving further down, theres a Sallie's Beauty Supply, a dime a dozen athletic sneaker store (not a foot locker, think it's a Champs?), a local favorite that's always bustling... the "Dollar Tree" which lives up to it's name sake and indeed, most every item (about 90%'ish) is a dollar or less. Now folks, we're talking everything from headphones to garbage bags, welcome mats to DVD's. Truly a thrift shoppers heaven. Further down still there's a state run "Wine & Spirits" and an upgraded "Giant's" super market that does any grocery store justice. Scattered about theres various other stores; a "Super Sheetz" gas station/convenience store, Aldi's, a holistic food/supply store called fresh life, car rental places, the locally famous "Mr. Stickies Sticky Buns" and many others. If you're in the area and need a place to go that has everything within reach (cell phones, food, clothing, furniture, beds, appliances, gas, etc...) then "The Loyal Plaza" os indeed that place. Happy shopping...
