Well I been to 2 of them now. This one on the Golden Strip just opened up on March 7th. (Which this review is for.) I don't hate. it I want to make it clear. Just not for me. To start with... -Reservation was made early on in the day but still had to wait 40 minutes. Then got moved into their "On Deck Room" which added another 25 minutes on top of that. Despite the reservation being for a speciffic time. -They had my party sit back to back instead of combining 2 tables together so everyone was put in 2 groups. -They advertise having Fish and Chips as well as Catfish but you will be told "Even though it is on the menu they do serve it here." -Most of the staff seemed very well at handling their designated areas even helping others when possible. -Their fresh baked buns and signature butter was good as per usual. -The waitress we got was on Ball always checking on us frequently. That said though it brings up another issue. -The area of where we were sat at was made for 4 people to comfortably sit not 6. -There was constant flow of staff in the isles. The issue there is the isles are extremely small. So if you need to get up to go to the bathroom or something your going to bump into them. -staff was even having issues working around each other. -The food was brought out in about 25 minutes. -they screwed up one order but made it right immediately and couldn't appologize enough for it. -The staff danced to a couple songs every 2-3 of them that played as a bonus entertainment(?) (This was not done in the other I been to so idk) -They never sang or had a sattle for our birthday guest of honor. -then they had a hard time trying to straighten out the bills for our party which just made it more hectic. -They offer a wide variety of alcoholic drinks from like beer to mixed to some of their own house made style drinks. -The food was ok nothing to really scream to the Heavens for.
Over all its not horrible but nor somewhere you bring a party of more than 4 to. They don't hold up to timed reservations at all just like the other one. More over the food was ok nothing I found impressive. If your ok waiting from 30+ minutes even with a reservation made ahead of time for a ok meal and some entertainment then this probably be the place to go. Otherwise save yourself the time, money and trouble and go somewhere else if your just wanting a...
Read moreWe were invited to dinner on Labor Day with visiting friends for the weekend. Their choice was Texas . Call ahead waiting was still 30 min, but busy so understand , so when ordering we asked our waitress if they honor Vets and give a discount. Her reply yes most definitely. Well our salmon was ok they forgot the veggie side. Had to ask. His Ribeye was mostly fat and grissle . Didn’t enjoy. Then comes the good part. We waited And waited to get our check. She comes and says I am sorry but I have to wait for my supervisor to approve the Vet discount and she is on the phone. Another 10 minutes we motioned her and again I am sorry but I have to have my supervisor approve the discount but she is In the Restroom. He finally says forget it , Just give me the check. . She returns with the check which was around $114,00 and some and then I said oh she is back so she went to get her and finally came back with another bill. His wife looked at both and said there is only around $2.00 difference ?? Waitress said j am sorry but the discount is only on his meal and no drinks . Not on His bill, wife not included , Of course not ours we knew that. What a surprise for a 23 yr retired Vet. Waited 1/2 hr for a supervisor to approve $2,00 off a bill. I apologized to him and we left . Took Longer to get our bill then to eat our dinner . Wished we would have entertained them somewhere else. The gentleman that he is did not want me to say anything . The Williamsport Pa. Restaurant needs to step up and tell the supervisor to pay attention to the waitress and why have you wait for her to approve a 10% Military discount when he showed her his Army ID . Sorry to Vent but I was embarrassed for him. Being in our 80’s we consider it a pleasure to go out for dinner, but the pleasure was not...
Read moreTexas Roadhouse Williamsport, you sure made this father's day one to remember. I'll start with the good, Kathy (one of the hostess) was a sweetheart and got my boys both a rubber duckies to play with. For the bad... We were forgotten about for rolls, had to ask after getting an appetizer. Then drinks refills were slow and far between. The hour plus wait for food is semi understandable for how busy it was today, but not when a table that arrived half an hour after us all received steaks. Once we received our food order, the children's meal was forgotten about and a medium well steak was served rare. We had an additional wait for the children's meal which was just the kids cheeseburger (essentially 2 sliders), and a further wait for the steak to be recooked to something closer medium well. The steak also did not appear to the be same sirlion that was picked out at beginning of visit. We suspect it was swapped or taken to another table hence the delays to our table for food. During this, the waitress kept asking if we wanted boxes. Not if something was wrong, or if we wanted something else, just boxes. Even just after receiving the recooked steak, we were asked about boxes. We then received the full check. We had to inquire about getting the children's meal comp'd because that was the most impactful. The MOD comp'd the steak, which is acceptable as one of the higher ticket items that needed attention. Unfortunately, this has been just one more visit with multiple issues and mistakes and we do not think we shall be returning or recommending this...
